Re: Jenny Craig
i had great results. i'm thinking of rejoining again. i purchased the lifetime membership for like $200... its much cheaper if you do not do that. the food is pricey.... maybe $4-5 a meal. however you don't go grocery shopping for yourself. food tastes good. i usually stuck to the same things each week because i know i'll enjoy it. I usually lose 20 pounds while I'm on it in 2 months.... good luck!

Re: Jenny Craig
Thanks for the reply!
I am thinking of joining this weekend, I want to do it for about 3 months. Once I kickstart my weight loss, I plan on doing WW, then rejoining JC 3 months before the wedding for more wight loss.
Do you think that is a good idea?

I just feel like I need more structure than WW. It's so easy for me to go off it when I don't know what to make for dinner or something. JC at least tells me eat this at this time and I feel like I'd be more successful at that.
You have lost a lot of weight on WW right? How did you do it, without having all the structure?

Re: Jenny Craig
I've done Jenny and Weight Watchers (still on WW but not really stringent w/ it unfortunately).
I did not have a great experience w/ JC. I was on it for 3 months and had to come off it because I was getting headaches and nauseau from the food. I dropped about 8-10 lbs from the program and it does work but like said earlier, it requires major structure, discipline and food costs an average of $100-150/week depending on what items you buy.
The problem I had was trying to measure all the food I ate each time I ate out at restaurants, etc. Unfortunately I eat out a lot (at least 3x/week due to my job) and its just impossible to walk around w/ little packets of salad dressing and charts with measurement tips.
The food offered is quite tasty, but def pricey. I wouldn't say JC is bad but as a long term weight loss program it is harder to stick to than Weight Watchers (and I had more success on WW than JC).
Hope this helps!

yes I lost about 90 lbs on it.
Honestly, the easiest way to do it if you need a more strict plan is to plan your menu out beforehand.
Just sit down and figure your points for the day and make the food at home, ie - turkey on 100 cal bread etc. If you plan ahead, its like eating those preplanned food but yet, its all regular food. You learn to eat normally that way.
I basically picked stuff i liked that was low points and ate it like every day. I'm boring like that.

Re: Jenny Craig
i did JC a couple of years ago and lost about 20 lbs. i also incorporated some exercise though. the food is very good, imo. if you're tried nutrisystem, it is nothing like that, food is much better. i too liked the structure of it. i've done WW in the past and did well with that too but it's more involved with counting the points- totally doable, but i just enjoyed the structure of jenny craig better. cost was around $120/week (breakfast, lunch, dinner & snack) depending on what you chose which i didn't think was expensive.

Re: Jenny Craig
JC is great if you don't want to have to consciously think about the diet. It is really very user friendly :) . I lost 15 lbs on it a few years back and the food is really fine. You really have to try not to eat out in the beginning though so that might be a draw back.
