I'm going to check out JT this week. Honestly, is worth the trip? I don't mean to sound nasty. I just want to know if its worth going to see? It looks beautiful in pictures. I noticed that they have 4 ballrooms. But they have 2 weddings at a time. Is that true? Anyone with info on JT please let me know. Thanks

Re: Jericho Terrace
Personally, I don't see what the fuss is about 2 weddings at a time. Yes, it's true, but the place is really big, and totally worth it! Your guests can actually sit at your cocktail hour, and the food is wonderful. It's also VERY reasonably priced. If you can get past the two weddings thing, check it out!

Re: Jericho Terrace
It's a beautiful place and the weddings take place oon totally different floors. If you're dead set on a 1 wedding at a time place, there are plenty of those. I suggested Majestic Gardens on the other post, plus Floral Terrace is not too far from JT and there are many, many, more.
Good luck!

Re: Jericho Terrace
I ofcourse love JT, when I walked in I loved everything about it. Ofcourse that is my taste though. If you like the place you would most likely get over 2 weddings at a time, but like one of the above post they stack the weddings to start at a different time. Plus there are 2/3 floors. I know I am not worried about the other wedding. I wish one of the girls on here was getting married on the same day there, and if I do run in to the other bride I will congratulate them. It's still you day no matter what and the focus will be on you. I would definitley consider looking though

Yes it is reasonable. What month and year are you getting married. I have price quotes.

Re: Jericho Terrace
i've been to JT for three weddings and yes, two weddings were taking place simultaneously. and they were on the same floor, right next to each other.
jt is beautiful but if you want only one wedding at a time, this is not the place.

I have been to Jericho Terrace for numerous weddings. I think it is a great place! I also think that you should look at as many places as possible, but JT is really worth looking at!

Re: Jericho Terrace
I was looking for a Friday night in June. So since there may be 2 weddings going on right next to each other, your guests have to share the bathroom? I don't mind if there are 2 weddings at one place I just would rather us be spread out.

Re: Jericho Terrace
yes, you share a bathroom but it's really not that big of a deal. the last wedding i attended was in the dome room and the bride was very annoyed that her guests had to pass the other wedding (which was right next door) and could hear the music (of the other wedding) while in the hallway. she was also not pleased that she saw the other bride and her bridal party taking pics outside as her guests arrived. but things like this don't bother everyone, it all depends on you!

They don't spread out the times for each wedding. I am surprised. They should have at least have an hour or more apart like other halls do.

i was told that the CH will start an hour apart for each wedding, so they definitely spread out the times for each wedding. I am impressed someone got $60pp!!!! we are getting married in november, but i was quoted $75pp for a friday night, 200 min. then we added the viennese, and the tax and gratuity we are at about 112 pp. Definitely check out JT! HTH!

Re: Jericho Terrace
Wow! So I got a super duper deal huh?? I lucked out. I saw Vinny who is new and a doll!! I basically said to them, 'Listen I already went to a few places and my cheapest price was $72 at the Watermill... I am going to keep looking and because I am on a budget I will simply go with whoever is cheapest!' He said, I would love to save you further trips, how about $60 and I jumped out of my chair and squealed like a pig... then ran out to the car for my checkbook!! LOL
Play the game, dont ever go with what they offer at first, always ask for more at less $$ :)

you definitely got a great deal!! so much goes into it, day of the week, month of the year, time of the day blah blah blah lol. unfortunately november is beginning to become one of the more popular months, or so i'm told lol. i am not the greatest negotiator, if i really want something i kind of cave from my experience though, you usually have a much better chance of getting stuff 'thrown in' than getting a lower price. we got a lot of stuff added on, but we also 'knew someone who knew someone' lol.
ETA: i spoke to anna, and have since changed to Mike C.

Re: Jericho Terrace
You have to decide if you want intimacy or if you want to save money.
When my brother got married in Westchester a few years back, a prom was going on at the same time. It wasn't the prom that bothered me but the UGLY prom dresses. EW!
