We're booked for Jericho Terrace but I'm having 2nd thoughts for a few reasons, can anybody help me out?
1. I'm concerned about there being 2 weddings at a time as I'm afraid it will either be disruptive or confusing to my guests. It might sound Bridezilla-y but I don't want to hear/see another wedding going on at the same time :/
Our wedding ceremony/reception will be in the Skylight room on a Saturday night. Ceremony is 7-730, cocktail hour is 730-830, and reception is 830-1230...does anybody have any experience?
2. How is the food? I've heard mixed reviews!

I am booked here as well for April and I had my concerns as you did about more then one wedding but i never have heard it being a problem. one thing you do not have to worry about is the food! food is always top rated! I have tasted some of the cocktail hour stuff and it was great.

I went to a wedding there in April and the cocktail hour food was cold, but we got there kind of late (halfway through) so that may be why.
I got sick from the food but it might have been because I have been dieting hardcore and my body was not used to eating foods like that.
As for the more than one wedding, I personally prefer to be the only bride, but Jericho Terrace made it very organized. There were people directing you where to go, and I tried to sneak into a different room to see the uplighting and they wouldn't let me, so that's good

dont be down... maybe you will get lucky and no other weddings will be planned for that day you never know!! but dont get discouraged you booked it for a reason and thats the fact that you love it!! always remember its your day and you will probably not even be bothered if theres another wedding there cause you will be super busy. so keep your chin up its gonna be a great day!

True, thanks everyone! I'm really scared about the food though, some reviews say great and some say horrible and cold - I'm so terrified I'm going to get the latter on the big day and have everyone talking about how bad it is!!

I went to a wedding there in June and the food was seriously delish. No one that I was with had any complaints. There was one cocktail hour dish (Satay Chicken?) that I didn't enjoy but my actual meal and everything else I had was so good!!!
I did see the other bride though. I think the bridal suite is right near the bathrooms and when I walked out of the wedding into the restroom, the bride was passing by.

Granted it was a few years ago now, but we had my senior prom there (and I was on the committee that picked it out!)The food was awesome, thats just about all I remember! You may want to check to make sure the other event going on is not a prom! I am quite sure they would never do that to anyone, but when I saw your date, I remembered that we had ours memorial day weekend. Cant hurt to ask.

I am getting married there in the skylight room as well and I had the same doubts you did. I actually asked my bm to taste the food. he let us come in the day that a wedding was going on. we were in a not used cocktail room while a wedding was going on in the skylight room and we were served the food that they made for that wedding. they did not prepare the food special for us and it was amazing. I have never heard anything bad about the food and everyone has told me they are really good with multiple parties. If you tell your bm you do not want to see another wedding party they will make it happen.

i am having my wedding there as well... in sept... we went for a tasting and the food was great and delish... there was a wedding going on at the time, so they snuck us in to a back room where it wasnt being used and i believe they took food from the acutally party that was going on there for our tasting....

I was married once before and had my wedding at Jericho Terrace. My room was the Oak room downstairs. I never saw another Bride until the end of the night when I was waiting to get the shuttle to the hotel and not for one second did I feel that my wedding was disrupted by the other wedding(s). I did see a few guests from another wedding as they came down to use the restroom but it was no bother to me and they complimented me on my dress. The food was amazing and my guests were raving about it for at least a year. I think you'll be just fine!

Just had my wedding there 2 weeks ago. They make sure to stagger the weddings so that there's absolutely no overlap. My ceremony started at 5:30 and the second ceremony didn't start until 7:00. I had many elderly and international guests and nobody was confused about where to go. They even stagger how early you & your wedding party can arrive at the venue so that you can take pictures wherever you want without another wedding party in the way.
The food was really good! There was so much of it. My guests can't stop talking about how much they loved the food. I'm usually picky about food 'done-ness' and my steak and shrimp (yes, I ordered 2 entrees) were cooked perfectly.

I've been to a wedding there and know several other brides who got married there. Jericho Terrace does an amazing job. I have never heard a bad thing actually. I would not worry.

i'm not really a fan of the jericho terrace- alot of girls from my HS had sweet 16s there, and it's beginning to be more of a christening/sweet 16/graduation party place more than a wedding venue. I remember we heard music blasting during the best man speech at my cousin's wedding, and nobody was able to hear the speech... food was cold too

my friend got married there in 2011. I thought that the cocktail hour was AMAZING - sooo much food! The dome room was also beautiful and fit her personality perfectly. We had a lot of fun! Cannot for the life of me remember what I ate or if it was good. I think I liked it!
Personally, I don't like it there because I want to be the only wedding. I also felt like there were so many other 'random' people from other weddings in the lobby area and it was confusing. but they have awesome reviews on weddingwire.com (google it!) from other brides and they host weddings every weekend

I've been to two weddings there and the food is AMAZING! I did find it to be a little chaotic with so many affairs going on, HOWEVER, that was only when entering and leaving the venue or going outside with someone that was smoking. You never even knew there were other events going on when you were inside - I understand where you're concerns are coming from but I think you'll be fine!

My friend went to a wedding there recently and said the food was fantastic and she did not notice any other wedding going on. You will be completely fine and the day will be perfect!

We just booked there & I am not worried about it. They really do seem to have everything down to a science. They have always been really organized which fits perfectly with my type A personality. I have also been to a wedding there yrs ago & had no complaints about the food.
