We had our reception in the penthouse room upstairs, which is the larger room and was very much needed for our size wedding. We had the garden room for our cocktail hour. I loved both! the other room that they have is also beautiful (the dome room) but too small for us. The cocktail hour was plentiful...everyone really loved all of the food...I loved some of their recommendations also...our photographer (one of their house photographers) was truly amazing! Fine Art Photography in Jericho...no one can get over how beautiful our pics are! Bottom line at JT is you do get a lot for your money and we did not need to really add much to the menu...we just upgraded our appetized and added pastry and cookies platters to the tables...the maitre d' did nothing special...but all did go well...let me know what else you may need to know!!!! good luck! Go to www.theknot.com and then look under planning, they have a whole section on how to pick a photographer, what to ask, what pics to make sure they get etc. I tried to post a direct link but it wasn't working. Good luck.

We made sure they had a variety of beer on hand and made sure that the liquor was 'top shelf' they were great in that area: we had about 12 different kinds of beer, including guiness, amstel light, sam adams, etc. people loved that, but it may not be as important to you. We did not want the champagne march that is included, but it is up to you. good luck, if you think of anything just ask!
Sorry my FI had e-mail blocked but it's ok now! If u tried sending me a message, please re-send. Thanks,

I had my wedding at Jericho Terrace October 21, 2000 It was beautiful everyone loved the food and the staff is very helpful. The girl that helped me in my bridal suite was unbelieveable her name is Andrea. If you want to request her. I was amazed at how much she did for me. There is only one thing I would have asked. We went for the Vinesse hour and it was wonderful but, on the tables where they have all the desserts they also put the wedding cake there for people to take. Had I known this I would have asked that they serve the cake at every table and let the guest help themselves to more dessert. I don't know if this is important to you or not but, I never would have thought of it. Good Luck! Thanks,

it is just me, but i thought it was a little cheesy...but definatly do it if you like it, it is different!!!!! by the way, if you need limos, i had a GREAT experience with the place they recommeded...devine limos...let me know!
Be sure to look for quality in the pictures. For example, I saw a picture of a couple near a lake and all you could see was the bird poop on the cement. The photographer should blend that out.
Decide on how many pictures you want in your album, if you want parent albums, etc. Shop around and see how many pictures are offered in a package and what the going rates are. That way you can get more for your money.

I went to a charity event there last march. The food was excellent and they were so accommodating. My girlfriend has her office party there every year and liked it so much she booked it for her Nov wedding. My Fi and I were going to look there as well but we have 2 weddings there this coming year (one is 10 days before mine) and we thought it might be overkill. But I would definitely consider it an option.

I got married there on September 8 and had the most beautiful day. Our pictures came out so beautiful, especially the ones outside. Everyone raved about the food. The only thing is that the maitre day was there literally with his hand out at the end and they did not follow one request that I had:I wanted NO beer bottles, I wanted anyone who wanted a beer for the bartender to pour them their beer from the bottle in a glass...just to make it a little more elegant...there were bottles everywhere...but it is well worth the money, you get a lot! Let me know if you have any questions!
I believe that you have your reception card first, then response card tucked in response envelope behind it. Then behind that your directions card, behind that the tissue paper and then the invitation. When you put it in the inner envelope, it should all be face up so when you open the flap you see the writing, Then put the inner envelope face down in the outer envelope. If anyone knows differently, please post as I am stuffing mine this weekend. Go to www.theknot.com and then look under planning, they have a whole section on how to pick a photographer, what to ask, what pics to make sure they get etc. I tried to post a direct link but it wasn't working. Good luck.

I have news for you...sal was our maitre d' and we did not like him at all! He was a lot of 'talk' and really did not do anything special for us and was there with his hand out for the tip at the end of the night...al was who we made all of our arrangements with and said he was 'giving' us sal because we had a nice large party and he is the 'best'...he was just ok...but my night was amazing overall! The place is really beautiful, everyone thought so! And you can not go wrong with the food! Good luck!!!
I am taking my flowergirl to 'off the rack' places 2 or 3 months before the wedding. There is one, I think it is called Charolottes, in Massapequa Park. I have never been there, but I heard it is good. There is no way to predict a growth spurt, but I think 2 months or so won't cause many problems. Little girls look so adorable in everything! I am not expecting the dress search to take long. I don't know if you already found the dress you want her to wear. If it needs to be ordered you will probably have to leave at least 6 months for it to come in. Do you have any children?

I'm booked at the Manor East. I knew that when I walked in that it was the place I was going to have my reception. Every other place I walked into I knew right away that it was wrong. I'm sure most of the other brides here will say the same, you know it when you feel it.
Cindy,
Wishing you and yours a Happy New Year and a wonderful wedding day!!
