Re: Jericho Terrace
It hold up to 144 people max so if you have more than 144 ppl you should try to get the Skylight Room

i don know about the oak room bc didnt see that room. But did you tell them you were inviting 130ppl or would have 130 at your wedding bc that can make a big difference. If you invite 130 people then remember that 20-30% say no so it would be lower than that and maybe thats why they showed you that room since you would need a higher min for skylight room. If youre going to have 130 at your wedding then i would let them know that.
They normally do show you what fits the amount of guests you say you will actually have there that day on average. Dh asked about the dome room but that is a maximum of about 250 guests so we were told it was too small for us and the only room we could do was the skylight-terrace room which was 275 minimum bc they say they can hold 400-500 ppl which i dont know about that but i guess it can be done.

They also showed me the oak room 1st and I said NO WAY! For me personally, the room was too small and dark looking- I almost felt like I was in the basement. If I was having less people and on a budget, then maybe I would have been okay with it. I immediately told him no, show me the next room. I booked the skylight room.
Did you ask to see another room?

yeah if anything tell them you are having 130ppl not that you are inviting 130ppl bc otherwise they are just going to show you their smallest room. For skylight they usually want a big higher minimum, somebody posted 125 for afternoon wedding but ive also seen 150 minimum for evening so really depends. For dome room i think might be 175 minimum or so.
I was also shown one room bc it was the ONLY room that was able to accomodate our guests, so there was no reason to see the others.

Re: Jericho Terrace
Yea, I said that we would be inviting 160, but probably would end up with around 130. So, we were shown the oak room first. I said no right away. It was way too small. It felt like a communion or sweet sixteen room. So, I asked to see the skylight room. After seeing the skylight room, I asked if we could see the dome room and he said there's no point in looking at it. There is no way you would be able to make the minimum. It would just be a waste of money for you. So we couldn't even look at it!!!

don't feel bad, same happened with us. Dh wanted to see the dome room, we went to other events there so knew what the room looked like though. BUt we told JT that we would have about 300 guests(we invited close to 350 and told them that) and they said that the dome room was too small for us and the max for the room is 250 maybe 275 but that would be a very very tight squeeze then which we didn't want. They basically said the only room that can accomodate us was the skylight-terrace room and to do a minimum of 275 which is what we did.
there was nothing dh could say bc our guests wouldnt fit in the dome room so the truth was there was no point to even consider it.

Re: Jericho Terrace
so dissapointing that u only got to see one room Did u call ahead of time and ask about seeing everything?? We called ahead of time to make sure everything was available to see. JT is just SO wonderful and the rooms are so beautiful! i happen to love the Oak Room...but it was way to small for us since we were inviting 250.
A shame you didn't get to see the dome room - but i know the minimum for that room is between 175-200...they were probably just being honest with u so they wouldn't waste ur time knowing ur minimum. Tell them u were disappointed and i'm sure they'll invite u back & give u the royal treatment

Did you seem annoyed at the time? Right away- he knew I wasnt having it and wanted to see the skylight room. How many people are you inviting??... I know you said 130, but is 130 how many people you are inviting or do you think that is what your minimum is going to be? For example: My minimum is 140 and Im inviting close to 200.
Edit: Is it possible for you to maybe invite some more people?
