When did your banquet manager want a final count by? How close to your wedding date did you put for an rsvp on your invite? Thanks!

Final count was done the week before the wedding. When we paid.
MY RSVP date was 6 weeks before the wedding. So 4/18/05 for my 5/27/05 wedding. That cushion was very much needed.
I thought the hall asks a month in advance. I think it should be two weeks before the wedding.

When did you send out your invites? I was only planning on doing it 8-10 weeks before.

We were told a week before, but my BM said we can give our final number as late as 3 days before if necessary.
Our RSVP date is 6 weeks before (3/11/06) and I'm mailing them next week. I'm doing it this way because of people who wait till the last minute to respond, and so that we have ample time for seating charts, placecards, etc.
Do you guys think if I mail them out 10 weeks in advance that is enough? I did send out STDs last june...

I totally think I'm bride brain dead today and I can't count. From 3/11/06 to 4/30/06 is 6 weeks? I thought that was 7?
I know this isn't exactly on the same topic but while you're all here I figured I'd ask. I was wondering if you girls were doing votive place cards. I read a post that a JT bride wasn't allowed to do them and figured I'd ask before I look for supplies.

Thanks! I'm just kind of annoyed that I have all these little things to get done and I'm not happy until they're done (like the invites) and then my hair lady flaked out on me today. So I'm just feeling the stress![]()
