Anyone getting married this yr at JT? We are going tonight for our second appt and wanna try to talk them down or add stuff in. What's the lowest price they offer for a sat night? Did they throw any extras in?

Hey! we are getting married in December... you can definitely talk them down... have you booked yet? THey are really good about throwing stuff in. we had originally booked on a Friday night in January, so when we went in to change our date, we were there for soo long negotiating! Is your date 11/11? because I know that they can get a lot of money for that date... because it's 11/11/11. you prob won't be able to get them to come down on the price per person but you will prob get them to throw in a lot of stuff!
We didn't book yet, going tonight. The date is 10/22 at 6 cause that's all that's left. He gave us 105 when we first went and said he would throw in another hr cause we didn't want a 6 start. We didn't know how low they would go though. What did they throw in for u?

we got extra trays of shots and champagne for after the ceremony, a martini bar (not sure if that's included for everyone), mozz station for CH (again not sure if that's included)... hmmm I can't remember what else!!!

He mentioned the martini bar and mozzarella station. We were gonna try to get the cordials and a few other things if he wont lower the price. We are looking at it like another place that does one wedding at a time is offering us the same price with more food and options so a place that has 3 weddings at a time should be cheaper, ya know

you should tell him that... that you are looking somewhere else that's only one wedding at a time and they are offering it to you for less... who are you meeting with?
I think we have the cordials during the dessert... ahh I can't remember ! I have to look at our contract again.
We are working with the GM Rob. The other place its between is the hamlet country club in commack. Plus it has the beautiful grounds for the pics. The only downfall there is the CH the room is small and only seats 80 but u have a huge patio to use too. Just can't depend on that cause of weather..... ahhh didn't think it would be this hard to find a place lol Also with JT being astart timeof 6 my church only has a 1 and we r doing a full mass. Don't know if its gonna be too much of a gap

what time will you start at the other place?
I think you should look up reviews of both places... not sure if you have done that... I know a big part of my decision was the fact that all reviews of JT were so amazing... I have never read one bad thing about the place...
I know how you feel about not being able to count on the weather... hmm I know it's a hard decision!
How much did Hamlet CC quote you?
How long does a full mass last? that is a really long time...

I was a JT bride. If your church has 1 then it's over by 2, take pictures inside and out of the church and people start to leave the church around 230, you prob leave around 245. Take a limo to go take pictures and be there by 330ish, then you have plenty of time to take pictures, people can go change and get to JT early if they want. Ask about the wine and cheese room, it's for guests who arrive early so if people who up around 530/6, it's really only 2-3 gap from the church to the CH. Trust me, you'll love the small gap, not too long but just enough time!
Both places had nothing but great reviews lol. This is why its sooo. Hard! The Hcc quoted 105 including chair covers ( usually 5 each) the chairs there are ugly and need to be covered lol. The menu has everything possible and every beer u can thik of, not just the usual bud coors etc. That's big to us too. We def want blue moon sam adams. JT said he would do that for us too though. With the church full mass is a hour. Then by the tine everyone walks out and we go back in take some pics and leave it will be almot 3. Then I wanna find a park to take pics near JT if I went with them. Hamlet has 11/5 avail and our church has a 3 too so the timing works out great with them. I just can't get JT out of my head lol

hmmm it is sooo hard!!! YEs we said the same thing with the beer, haha we said we needed Sam Adams. They said no problem to have that.
If you can't get JT out of your head there's a reason! what room will you have? for us it was also about the room.. I just LOVED the room that we will be in... so that was huge for us!
