I met with a bm at jericho terrace and was quoted 80 dollars pp for a fri. night in march. Seems a little high compared to some other rh i visited. I Didnt bargain down that number at all yet so that was a starting point. What prices did some of u other brides get from them for a winter wedding??

Re: jericho terrace march 2012
I went to JT for a quote for my August wedding for a weekend, and they also started me at 80 (I had told them that my other vendor quoted me at 78 but I wasn't pleased with the service). I think you definitely can negotiate a price to suit your budget. Don't settle for 1st price.
I didn't book with JT, but ended up getting a drop in price from my vendor by $4 a head.

For all the food and the services they give you. I personally think 80pp is a great price for March.

I just think jt and westbury manor are very comparable venues in terms of what they give you. Fh and i loved both places. Westbury manor is 20 dollars cheaper which seems to be a dealbreaker for jt. 20 dollars is a BIG difference.....

I personally don't think they are comparable venues as they both are soo different. WM is more homely with an outside garden and JT I feel is more modern. Even the WM banquet mgr we met with told us they were 2 totally different venues when we told them we were looking at JT after them.
FH and I were definently torn btwn WM and JT. The only reason why we didn't book with WM is b/c I was more in love with outside than the inside. And if god forbid the day of my wedding it rained and I didn't get to have the use of the outside, I would be very upset. As far as food, WM and JT do offer a lot. So you can't really go wrong with either or in regards to food.
But if pricing is your main concern. I say go with what you think you can afford. The last thing you want is to start off your marriage with debts. Thats one thing FH and I did not want. So we basically decided on an amount we wanted to spend per person including tax and gratuity and JT was within our budget. Plus we fell in love with our room and it was exactly what we were looking for. Good Luck with your pick.

I 100% agree with everything this poster said. I've been to weddings at WM and I even looked there when we were planning. I choose JT over WM for the same reasons, if it rained the cocktail hour was in 3 separate rooms.
If I compare our wedding to the wedding's I've been to at WM they are similar but JT just sets the bar higher and in my opinion the food is better and they just give you more. JT is also known to through in more stuff when booking with them then WM is (at least in our experience).
Both are beautiful but if you think JT can do better with their price then talk them down. You don't want to start off your marriage in debt but you also don't want to just settle.

I went to JT twice, it's the RH i'm set on, however the price is still just a bit high because we needed to add seafood bar and venetian full hour. BM's quote for august 24, 2012, friday night, with ceremony onsite starting at 6, is $85 pp, then $20 for seafood bar (deluxe edition) and full venetian, price he dropped to $12 from $15. with tax & gratuity that still puts me over $150, and i need to get it down. will go back for a third meeting and hope that BM is willing to negotiate again. BUT I'D LOVE TO KNOW how he gave you $80pp on friday in august!!!! please please share :)))))
thanks!!

You can def. get your VH lower than that. I'm not sure if they are doing a plated dessert in addition to your cake and VH, but personally if you're doing VH and cake, there's no need for a plated dessert too. If you take that extra dessert out, they should come down on price more.

We are paying much more than that for a Friday in November. Sometimes I wonder how they come up with these numbers.....

You need to talk them down. When I first went in there he gave me a price and then when I went back with the FH he told them what we wanted to spend and we got it with 3 extras thrown in. We got him down $20pp. Its all how you negociate!

I got them to negotiate in price by decreasing the size of the menu. It is about how you go about it.
