Jericho Terrace OR Fox Hollow

Hello everyone. Please help me decide on which one to go with. I need to make my decision by the end of today.

I really fell in love with the inside of Jericho Terrace, but I loved the fact that you can get married outside of Fox Hollow. I don't know what to do and I'm torn! For Jericho Terrace it would be $85 per person on a Friday night but I'd have to have a 140 people guarantee. At Fox Hollow, it would be $82 per person and only a 125 guarantee.

If you have had your wedding at these places PLEASE tell me your experiences and if it would be worth it to pay more money and go with Jericho Terrace. Thank you ladies!!!

I've been to weddings at both and I looked at both for our wedding and the feel of Fox Hollow was more my goal. I think the dark wall, rugs, and cozy fireplaces are more inviting then marble, etc. It's just my opinion though. They are both very different feels from them so you have to go with your gut.

Definetely Jericho Terrace for me.

When I was researching halls for my wedding, I went to took at both places and Jericho Terrace was more my type. In my opinion, for the amount that I am paying for it was better.....More food, better outdoor location and the staff was more friendlier.

I'm biased so of course I have to say Jericho Terrace. I looked at both places. JT is just SO elegant. We got nothing but amazing help while looking at it and since booking. The food is fantastic. I've never heard of a bad wedding at Jericho Terrace.

They are two completely different places. I LOVE the look of FH- obviously. I have been to two affairs at JT- one was fabulous and the other not so much. But every place has their ups and downs. I think it should come down to the decor you most feel comfortable in. dont base it on the outside since you never know with the weather GL

ugh ! i just wrote this long thing and than the power went out!

Honestly my day was perfect because it was our wedding day but not because of JT and for the price we paid it wasn't perfect. the food was rushed. my vip tables didnt get special service like it was told to us, we were constantly pushed inside instead of outside for pics. my food in the cocktail hour in the bridal suite was cold. the bathroom toilet area in the bridal suite was small. my bridal attendants were wonderful, my dad got his own birthday cake and the place is absolutely beautiful. i love how it had no rug ( i hate rugs) and i loved how it had no frames. i have been to FH weddings and the picture frames where crooked -it drove me nuts!

you are talking about a 1,650 difference. I think you can bargain down JT if you like it better by 10$ or lower the max or cut corners somewhere else. but try to bargain. i wish i did. i heard after the fact that u could lower it by 15$ than what they org. tell u.

dont pick a place if u like the outside better than the inside. u'll mostly be inside and u may get rain and be inside the entire time. love the inside.

its going to be great!!! no worries!

PS: JT's busier time is in the fall from what i understand. u can bargain august because most people want a place by the water more than an inside place.

Well for me it is Fox Hollow all the way. Even though i think JT is beautiful as well. Its all in your taste. For me Fox H has unbelievable food & the cozy Old English cottage look was exactly what i want for my winter wedding. The staff is amazing & so accomodating. I never have a problem with anything i ask about or for. I also like that Fox H is kind of secluded like. No other stores or gas stations across the street. IMO that matters.

Me too!!! That was a big selling point for me as well. JT is on a very busy street, a bit loud and looks like anywhere else. FH is tucked away behind trees on a very quiet block!

it comes down to personal taste... JT and FH are like apples and oranges.

I looked at both, but we went with fox hollow. I dont like how JT is right on a busy street, and the room they showed me (small room) looked to dark and oppressive in my opinion. Fox Hollow was cheaper, and to me, it wasnt a question, we have had the food at FH before at weddings, and it was amazing, but its a matter of personal preference.

If JT makes YOU and your FH go wow, then I would negotiate with them.

Thank you so much for your replies!! That's a good point about people not wanting to get married inside in August.....that's one of the things I didn't like about JT. I either wanted to get married outside or in a church, and since I didn't like that JT only offered ceremonies inside, we are going to try to get a church for our date. Wish me luck

We looked at both and felt jericho terrace was more elegant and the dome room was beautiful.. We have been to weddings at both and the food at JT we felt was better. Also jericho terrace and fox hollow are located on the same street, Jericho Turnpike, in different towns. Good luck in making your decision

I checked out both places, along with many others, and Fox Hollow was my number one pick! They both have totally different looks.

Go back to both places again and hopefully one will just be right for you.... That's what we did!!

Well, one of the main reasons why I booked with JT is b/c of their reputation for impeccable food. I am marrying into an Italian family (from Italy...not just American Italian) and that was our number one priority...fabulous food. I loved the elegance of JT, too. There were so many beautiful areas to take pictures both inside and outside. I fell in love with the skylight room, too. I didn't want a hall that looked stuffy w/ carpeting and cheesy decor.

Three of my friends have gotten married at FH in the past year or so, so I knew I didnt' want my reception there. So, JMO...decide what your number one priority is (getting married outside, good food, decor, etc.) and then make the decision.

i am biased because i booked fox hollow. i went to JT and i was turned off that there seeemed to be a lot of events going on at once and the BM there basically just gave us a date and wouldnt let us ask about any other times/dates... but i have heard good reviews about both so good luck!

i had my wedding at JT and they did an amazing job

but let me say that both places have a completely different look. So i would just go with the place that fits your style more and the overall look you want for your wedding. Theres no wrong or right answer for which look you want to go for, everyone has different taste and looking for different things when it comes to an RH. There are weddings ive been to that i thought were beautiful and loved it, and knew it was perfect for the couple, but didnt mean i would want to have my wedding there also but only bc i was going for something a bit different. Everyone gets mad when it comes to these things when ppl say it wasnt what they were looking for or not their style, but theres nothing wrong with that.

Pick the one that compliments the style you are trying to achieve for your own wedding.
