Jericho Terrace review.....

Jericho Terrace review.....

Well, here it is. I didn't post it because I didn't want to offend anyone but remember this is just my opinion. The place was beautiful. It was kind of mass confusion when we got there. In a matter of 2 minutes we saw 2 different brides. Lots of people everywhere. They had the ceremony there and the set-up was really nice. We all went to cocktail hour after that. In my opinion, the food wasn't that good. The stuffed mushrooms were dry and shriveled up and the sweedish meatballs were very dry. There was a lot of fried foods, but that might just be what they requested. The service was excellent, absolutely no complaints there. The dinner was good. I had the chicken sorrentino and it was very tasty. The dessert was cake and an ice cream pastry thing, it was different, it was like phylo dough on either side of vanilla and chocolate ice cream. My biggest complaint was in the beginning, valet was running behind and people were blocking traffic because valet could not keep up with the amount of people that were coming into the parking lot, and the cocktail food in my opinion wasn't very good. Hope this helps, and doesn't offend anyone. Also, jmo, the bride had short centerpieces, but I think that tall centerpieces would have looked a lot better because of the high ceiling...

I am not a Jerricho terrace bride, but it sounds like you are picking. Maybe you would have preferred tall centerpieces, but obviously she wanted short ones. No biggie. It was her wedding. I have never understand what the big deal is if you see more than one bride at a reception hall. There are often multiple events going on at these places. What's the big deal?
Now the comment about the food-good to know, but the rest was beyond the control of the bride and groom. The day never goes perfectly, all you can do is hope for the best!

I don't think you were picking, just giving your opinion, and I don't see anything wrong with that. Some brides don't care about one wedding at a time, and others do. It's a matter of preference. I know that many halls that do more than one wedding at a time, promise their brides they would never even know there was another wedding going on, but many times you do see other brides. I think Jericho Terrace brides should know, and I would guess they do already, that there's a possibilty that they may not be the only ones in white that day. Thanks for the honest review.

I am definitely glad that you were honest!
One question: Was the affair during the day or night?

I am hoping that there is not another bride having her ceremony there at the same time as me, because I could definitely understand the confusion factor. It won't be a really big deal to me, though.

That's an interesting point about the high centerpieces because of the high ceiling...I'm still trying to figure out what I want to go with.

Thanks for the input!

I agree. And as for the comment on the centerpieces, I think that's very helpful because a lot of brides are actually unsure of how their centerpieces are going to look in the ballroom. Thanks for the review!

Re: Jericho Terrace review.....

I think that was a great review!

my own opinion on seeing more than one bride at a time: Often, and I am definitely NOT directing this at you, but often, guests see multiple brides because these guests are lounging in the lobby instead of being where they are supposed to be.

For example, my DH's cousins saw another bride. But, they were supposed to be in our reception room, watching us cut our cake, but instead they were standing outside smoking...
