FH and i went looking at a few places this past Sunday. We went to Jericho Terrace and I absolutely loved everything about it, the only thing is that when we sat down to discuss prices I felt like they really aren't the ppl to throw things in and that the price is as is no exceptions or extras. We also went to Fox Hollow and I liked everything, guy was more willing to throw some extras in if we book of course and I heard great things about them and i love how the Inn is right next door for my OOT guests which we have many. I'm so confused and have no idea where to book...I'm looking for a Sun evening pref Columbus day weekend. Sorry so long but i'm panicking and venting and need some feedback... Also hows Leonards of Great Neck? Flowerfields? and Chatear La Mer?? Any comments and feedback are greatly needed and appreciated, thanks in advance ladies!

Re: Jericho Terrace vs Fox Hollow and other RH's
Hey there! Well I HAVE to be biased to my RH, Villa Lombardi's! I loooveee that place! Lombardis on the Sound is gorgeous too.
As far as Jericho Terrace, they'll try and rob you blind over there! We did checdk them out (because my fiance wanted Jerichi Terrace and I wanted Villa Lombardi's), but for Jericho Terrace and for a Fridy night in July, they were charging us alot, and for Jericho Terrace, I just felt it was a real rip off. Not to mention, when we were supposed to go in a second time to look at the place, we literally booked Villa that day, so when we called to cancel on Jericho, what was suppoed to be our banquet manager, was so rude and hung up the phone on us!
I think Fox Hollow is nice, although I;ve never been to a wedding there. I stayed at the hotel once and the night of our wedding. Fox Hollow does have a better rep than Jericho Terrace though.
Leonards of Great Neck, we were in and out in 5mins and heard from other people the food was horrible.
My inlaws justwent to a wedding at Chateau La Mer and said it was beautifully and the food was good.
Never been to Flowerfields, so I can't really say, but Im not into all that land and stuff like that., or mansions like the Woodlands and Vaderbilt Mansion. I'm more of a small, medidterraan villa setting. Mansions make it feel,,,,so cold...!
I def recommend checking out Villa Lombardi's, Lombardi's on the soud (they really work with u with prices and throw extras in and theyre so polite and pleasant!), But like I'm always going to be biased to my place :)

Re: Jericho Terrace vs Fox Hollow and other RH's
Let me start out by saying that I've heard AMAZING things about both places. One of my very good friends as a matter of fact is getting married at Jericho Terrace.
You might be able to tell however that I'm in LOVE with Fox Hollow. (booked there). Not only have I heard only the best things about them but I know that they're food and service is impecable and the atmosphere is so warm and cozy with the fireplaces almost everywhere you turn.
I don't envy you cause it's a tough decision to make but go with what your gut tells you. When you close your eyes which one is closest to what you've always dreamed of?
Best of luck!

I'd continue looking at some other places and talking to some other BMs before making any sort of decision. This way, you can at least get a feel for what is out there, what other places cost, etc.
It sounds as if you're not totally sold on anyplace, yet, so I'd keep looking. You may realize after looking around a bit more that you love one of these first ones more than others!
You're date is still aways away, too, so you definitely have time to keep looking!

totally agree!....im biased bc i booked and LOVVVVE fox hollow also....i have to admit though ive been to soooooooo many weddings at jericho terrace and the food IMO is not bad but not great and when u book a busy night like fri or sat its chaos my friends maid of honor and best man were trying to give speeches with the thump of the music from the other rooms.. a lil distracting....all just things i witnessed....doesnt mean they wont be great for u....lots of luck

i have to agree with this - i never believed that this would happen since i am soooo picky but we walked into JT and KNEW immediately. we both knew within moments that this was THE PLACE - we were lucky bc it was the first place we went to. But I know other people go to dozens of halls first
I got a great deal at JT - so great actually we added two hours to our reception when we thought we would not even be able to afford a saturday night! i have been there three times and dealt only with very helpful people. . . we returned after we booked with my mom and even though they already 'had our money' Vinny gave my mom a FULL TOUR and really sold her on the place. . .
so i guess my point is that I <3 JT of course but BUT definitely keep looking if you aren't set on ONE place yet!

Re: Jericho Terrace vs Fox Hollow and other RH's
Hi! I've been to weddings at flower fields, and fox hollow. It really depends on the look you want for your wedding. I prefer flower fields because you are the only ones there for the time allotted to you. Fox hollow always has multiple parties going on which makes for a ton of people all over. Both places are beautiful and have GREAT food. Flower fields had more locations for pictures I think vs. fox hollow where its a little limited.

I would personally go for the fox hollow over jericho terrace only because of the location. The traffic always stinks on 25, BUT there are tons more lights by where the terrace is. It seems like a little thing, but it's nice not to have to deal with traffic when you're excited to get to your wedding! The Terrace is beauuuuutiful, but so is the fox hollow! I think I personally like the grounds at fox hollow too. You have the inn and all these pretty gardens. It's set back and I like that. I would have booked there, but they had no availability. Go with your gut though!
