No....Vicky and Eric....i think we're in one of the bigger rooms (not the dome room). You can't miss us...it'll be almost 400 asians...

i was thinking about that place. My parents were married there 30 years ago. thought it would be nice for their only daughter to get married there too. It was a little too much for ua to spend but it is a beautiful place.

youll be in the skylight room then, and that room holds 400 people, cant wait to hear your review, that's the room i am getting married in...Hope you have a great time.

So...i'm back from the wedding....First off, I must say the place is VERY impressive to see when you first drive in. You're greeted with a doorman, marble lobby and a pianist.
Cocktail hour: It was HUGE...there was so much stuff...i didn't even get to taste everything. I saw people walking around with half lobsters and I couldn't find where they were getting it. But there was just a ton of yummy food. I liked that there was a bar in the back, so you could drink and eat...
Reception: The room made you feel like you were outdoors almost. It was kind of dark though...my table didn't have candles on it, and we had a hard time reading the menu. The table next to us had about 5 tealights, and that was enough to brighten the table up considerably.
We we could hear the music from the wedding downstairs. I must say, they were having a rocking time...But all we heard the whole night was the thumping of the subwoofer...and it totally drowned out the soft jazz band my friend had hired.
The food was GREAT...the waiters did the champagne march which was kind of cute at first. hahaha. We didn't get very good service at our table though. Our waiter kept trying to take our plates away. He would come over while we were in mid-bite and ask, 'are you done?'....because he wanted to give us new plates. If we said no, he just shoved the new plates underneath the rim current one, so that it was sticking up at an angle. But i think it was just that one guy because the others seemed really nice.
I barely finished my entree because i filled up during cocktail hour. The dessert was soooo yummy...they had cannoli's, italian cookies and the cake.
Overall, it was really nice, except for those few things which you can't really control anyway. The food was good, which is the most important part. You JT brides will have a beautiful wedidng!

i think it's great that you are being honest! Sometimes people need to hear the negative things too so they can try and change it for their wedding!

Thank you for the review...Yeah thats one thing i keep hearing about the noise, hmmm guess i have to make sure to tell my djto play the music extra loud

do you know if someone else is going to be at jt the same day? you have a huge party so im sure yours will be louder anyway

seems like May 17th is a popular wedding date so i am sure there will be another wedding going on hahahaha...Yeah hopefully we will be able to be loud enough and you can't hear it lol

LOL yeha i have heard that complaint about JT before so i am going to make sure MY DJ brings some extra speakers or something LOL
That stinks about the waiter though! My cousin got married at the Carltun and our waiter took away my ravioli in vodka sauce before I even took a bite! I swear I stepped away for a minute and it was gone! So of course my entire family still teases me about how good it was!
anyway, thank you for an honest review! And I am glad that you had a good time- can't wait for my wedding!

My cousin got married at JT last year and the same thing happened with the music. We could hear the music from the Sweet 16 going on. It was only annoying during dinner and during the speeches. Also, anytime I went to the ladies room, there were 16 year old girls in there crying that this one was dancing with this ones boyfriend. It was actually quite amusing!! The food was very good and the service was good, too. My parents also got married there in 1973! My mom said that it was 'the place' to get married, LOL!!!

Funny...the Wedding I was at on Sat. night at JT was the loud one! sorrryyyyy. But it was a lot of fun. I am going to write a review but I have to wait until I get home and can download some pics with it. Preview of my review...it was awesome! And I realized..you can put so much planning into a wedding and try to make every detail perfect...but it's the people at the party that make or break it. ...more to come........
