Jericho Terrace...Showcase and... can you hear DJs in other rooms?
Went to the showcase... did anyone go tonight?
They told me over the phone they weren't having food but we walked in and the cocktail hour room had food and passed apps! They were good! Oh yea and open bar which is always fun!
I was concerned because the DJ was SOOOO LOUD! It was like a club in there. We want to get a band, but my main concern is that the rooms upstairs are so close to each other... has anyone been to a wedding there? Could you hear the music in the other rooms? I asked someone about it today and they said it's not usually a problem but of course they are going to tell me that, they work there. Thanks ladies!

JT was one of my finalists, before I chose the Swan Club for photo reasons, and then I eloped...! anywho, my sister, mom and I went one day for a meeting and felt like dancing in the office we were sitting in, and in the ladies' room! That's how loud the reception music was next door. In fact, the music was so loud and good, we asked for the DJs info before we left! JT is still on top though, in my opinion. I just can't find anything wrong with that place!

I was told my Francesca who is their in-house wedding planner that the penthouse room which is next door to the dome room (and was renovated recently) had sound proofing done to it so you won't hear the music between those 2 rooms. I was also told by the BM that they schedule weddings so that brides won't be bumping into each other so that makes me think that they wouldn't be going on at the same time or maybe only overlap a bit but Im not too sure. HTH!

I attended a wedding there 3 years ago i believe in the Penthouse room CH didn't start until 8; and the reception didn't start until 9; but during dinner we could hear the loud base of the music next door. Not sure what their start time was; but i do remember hearing the music through the walls and when i went into the hall to use the bathroom I could hear the music.
BUT i honestly wouldn't let that stop me from booking there-i thought that was one of the best weddings I ever went to! THe food was amazing! Staff was on point. Even though i remember hearing the music; that's so minimal compared to the amazing wedding they had there!

I have been to two weddings at Jericho Terrace and I think it depends on what room you are in.
The first one was in the smaller one (sorry don't know the name of it). It was right next to a much larger room, and my table was all the way in the back near where the wall bordered the other room. There was a ceremony going on in the other room, and I will be honest, you could hear everything going on. And the wall partition had drapes and was kinda see-through so you could see what was going on as well if you looked hard. Other people at my table made comments about the loud ceremony as well.
The second wedding I went to was in the Dome Room. No complaints with hearing outside noise as it appears this room is a bit more secluded than the other.

Thanks ladies... I don't mind if you can hear the music in the hall or anything, but I just don't want us to be doing a slow dance or something and have the other room bumping with bass! I personally just don't like that style of music and don't want to be able to hear it... I guess I will just have to keep my fingers crossed that no one else books that date lol!!!
Any other thoughts???

I remember feeling the same way because they do have two weddings going on at the same time. They say that they schedule them so that when one is in their cocktail hour, the other will be well within their reception. As far as the music, we booked the Penthouse room and were told that we would NOT be able to hear anything from the other party. I wouldn't worry.
