Jessica Lynch or Elizabeth Smart??

uuuuugh...they are both on tonight at 9....Why the hell are they both on at the same darn time??????????????? I am sooo stressed as to what to watch..I think they both will be TOTALLY interesting...

And our VCR is Broken, so I cannot tape one!! Can someone let me borrow a tape if you get to tape one of them>>!>!>!> If not, i will just have to switch back and forth between the 2!!

I think a football game went overtime and Cold Case was pushed back.

I'm not going to watch either. The JL story is more about the man who saved her because JL didn't sell her story to the network. Yet they hyped it like it's just about her.

The ES story is basically a rehash of what we know happened via the papers. They don't tell what happened to her while she was kidnapped because the Smarts were consulted on this movie and I think that they won't let ES tell anyone what happened why she was kidnapped or if she tried running away. So nothing is revealed that we already didn't know.

I'm actually going to watch Sam Neill and Kiera Knightly in Doctor Zhivago on PBS. LOL!!

I taped JL and watched ES.

Though I did flip between the 2.

JL: was all about the man who saved her and leading up to her rescue. About 5 minutes focussed on her. The rest was about the man and his family. Him going back to see her, getting the plans of the hospital and helping the army rescue JL. He almost getting killed and his family being guaranteed safety. A touching moment was when a soldier handed JL a patch of the american flag. She was taken out of the hospital, brought to Germany then to the US where she was greated by her family. End of movie. Basically everything we followed in the news.

ES: Everything we know. She was kidnapped during the night, taken by a creapy man, her sister Mary Catherine seen the man, the father was a suspect, he fainted, search parties, prayers, yadda yadda yadda, a woman in Utah recognizes the guy calls the cops, cops show up and question the man and woman away from ES, where the cop that was talking to ES pulls out a piece of paper that is the picture of her with kidnapped, she takes off the sunglasses and has a tear in her eye and says that she is ES. Police call the Smarts, and a reunion is done at the precient.

2 1/2 hours of information we know from reading all the newspapers and watching the news.

With all due respect to both of these actual women, I can't be bothered with a network docudrama about their plights. I dislike how the networks chose to put them head-to-head like that too - I guess they really know how to capitalize on the nation's curiosity.

Truth be known, I was very disappointed that I didn't know Law & Order Criminal Intent was bumped to 8pm to accomodate their little face-off.
