Jessica makes good sauce, I make good cappuccino

Jessica makes good sauce, I make good cappuccino

I have my espresso pot, my cremina to make foam for steamed milk and my espresso - allllll from Italia.

I am currently in heaven.

And if I didn't live so far from y'all, I'd make one for all of you. After we ate Jessica's sauce.

despite my hours upon hours of trying to emulate Starbucks' chai tea and caramel macchiato, I suckity suckk at making all things caffeinated. Which is sad cause caffeine is my fifth favorite non-living thing.

I don't have a cappuccino machine. I was not a proper bride and didn't have a shower and did not get all of the cool stuff that brides are entitled to.

I would like a cappuccino machine. But I would also like to go to JB's house for capuccino - after a big plate of gluten free pasta (do they have that) and Jessica's sauce.

there isn't much I wouldn't do for a good cappuccino right about now.

I have that 'I need caffeine' headache.

You don't want those. They are overpriced and won't make the espresso come out right. You need this old school stainless steel contraption:

I make good conversation at parties.

Actually I am a sucky conversationalist. But I usually do/say/wear something awkward which makes for good conversation for other people!

Stove top espresso pot - you can order it here. You can get it here, too.

You unscrew the bottom, fill it with water - but don't overfill so that the water seeps into the little tray part that holds the espresso. Screw the bottom on, turn your stove top up to HIGH heat and it brews quickly. Just enough time to steam (and foam) your milk if you want a macchiato or cappuccino.

AND they are way better than those super expensive fancy machines that sell here.

I just went to the only place in the whole of lower Manhattan that can make a good (read: not just decent) cappucino b/c of this thread.

I paid $5 for a small capp and a choco chip cookie literally the size of a quarter.

I forbade my mother - because she would have bought ten (plus the cups and the coffee) and then I would have been carrying her luggage!!
