your hotel block was $89 per night right??? why are they quoting us at $149?!!?!
did you negotiate that price with them?? We are at the same time of year so I figured we would get similar prices at least!

It was $129. I think the norm rate is $179 or something like that.

If you're wedding is not on a holiday weekend see if you can talk them down to at least $129. I know that on holiday weekends the normal rate is higher so the discoutn rate would be a little higher.

Okay - My wedding is a Friday... wouldn't that be cheaper than a saturday?! hmm.. ok I will work with then on the 129 rate then. thanks!!!

No that was the first offer they gave me and to be honest, it was much lower than what I thought they were gonna give me that I just said fine!

And I feel that if you are in the same month as me and it's not a holiday there really shouldn't be any price difference.

I am going to try to sit with them the 24th - thats when we are both free... FH is a good negotiator. I suck at that part.
but I want the hotel information on the STD's - maybe I can do it and just not put the price on the info card. Just have them printed up for now and include them in the STD's - oh wait - I can't becuase I need the code. ugh... i hate how one thing hinges on another. cant send out the std's until we book the hotel.

I actually sent out the hotel info cards just saying that there will be rooms blocked at this hotel, gave the hotel info, wedding website and mentioned that there will be shuttle service included to and from the hotel before and after the reception.

I did put to mention the 'O'Connor Wedding' when booking, which they still can do and the people could look up the code for them, but I included ALL the info on the website (when you do the block they are going to send you that Group Code and 2 links that you can included on your website/send to your guests based on what kind of room they want). Also, when we send out our invites we are going to include the Hotel cards they gave us and write the code on there. Chances are no one is going to book their hotel room until after the invites go out.

We got ours for the same hotel as Jessie for $139 /night (fri and sat) and we are a holiday weekend.

Its also the weekend of the air show and the hotel is right next to the airport where the planes leave so its a busy time for them lol.

It was a HUGE difference for what they normally offer (i think its like $234/night) so I didnt even bother asking it to be lower b/c I knew the circumstances.

I think the HM suite for the night for us is like $259....
