Jeweled Belt

Does anyone know where I should look for a jeweled sash/belt for the wedding dress?

Jeweled Belt

My bridal consultant recommended www.mjtrim.com

They have different trims that you can buy for way cheaper than what they offer in the store, and then back the trim on chiffon or some other fabric. Also, look on etsy. They have a lot of beautiful belts!

I've been searching etsy. When I bought my dress, the belt they put on me was like $800 - WAS NOT PAYING THAT.

I've looked through all the postings on etsy and nothing has caught my eye yet. I guess I still have time so ill keep looking. The belt that they put on me when trying on dresses was $500 but it wasn't anything special. Even my bridal attendant told me to look elsewhere to get a belt because they would be cheaper.

I tried on a belt that was 800 (and loved) but i couldn't justify spending that much on a belt. Sugarplum 11905 did you find a sash/belt yet?

No I haven't. I looked on etsy and found some nice ones but nothing really caught my eye. Did u look elsewhere for your belt?

Esty!! I bought mine from Tatishotties on there. She from long island and the belt came out soooo nice.. highly recommended!!

I just bought mine today!!! I am so excited because I feel like I finally completed my look! I had a tough time looking at ones online (mainly etsy.) My dress is lace and I wasn't sure if I wanted a jeweled belt all the way around or just an embellishment on a sash. I went back to Kleinfelds tonight to try the dress on with the variety of belts they had and I finally bought one from a belt trunk show they were having. I spent more then I would have on etsy but I needed to see the belt ON the dress. As usual, my consultant was AMAZING and patient as I must have tried on like infinity belts.

If you are a visual person like me, I suggest trying on the dress with various types of belts, choosing the style you like, and either purchasing it there (usually more expensive) or looking for that type of belt online. Also you have to determine what width you would like. Not all belts will look the same on every dress. Sorry for the rant, jeweled belts have been something ive been trying to figure out for months now!

Thank you for your help! Your rant is helpful. I've been looking at a Maria Elena's bridal accessories and she is exclusive with kleinfeld's. I'm going to try to go to her trunk show in January. I bought my dress at bridal reflections so it will be harder as Kleinfeld's doesn't carry my designer. I do know that I would need a 2' wide belt so I'll keep looking.

LOVE M&J Trimmings. They had a groupon deal recently. You can anything and everything there.

also try recycledbride.com they have all wedding stuff that previous brides are selling...

and this is ANOTHER reason why CS should have a board for selling items

Your belt is really pretty. I keep checking the site to see if vendors post new belts/sashes. I found a few that I like. Thanks for the heads up. :)
