JEWELRY INSURANCE - VENDOR RAVE
HEY MY BEAUTIFUL 09'ers.
I posted a thread about who everyone was using for their engagement ring insurance. I think it is sooo important to get this! I did some research on the boards and a lot of girls used Jewelers Mutual and Chubb Insurance (if they didnt already had it put on their homeowners or renters insurance). After carefully reviewing each company i decided to go with Chubb. I learned that in case of loss, theft or mysterious disapearance, Jewelry Mutual (which is very reputable) will let you go to the jeweler of your choice to pick out an EQUIVALENT ring to yours. Chubb will actually cut you a check for the appraised amount.
Its really not that expensive. It goes by where you live and how much your ring is appraised for. Jeweler Mutual quoted me $200 and Chubb quoted me $396. (PER YEAR)
I worked with a wonderful Chubb broker (who charges NO BROKER FEE) and i did everything via email. I just emailed him my personal info, a copy of my appraisal and pics of the ring and he emailed me a copy of the policy and said the original will come in the mail in 2 weeks along with the bill (which u can pay in installments).
