my dress is ivory with a very light tannish/goldish sash around the waist that trails down in the back... It is not gold, it's more of a very neutral color, but it's definitely in the very very very light tan family.
I'm trying to decide on whether to wear yellow gold or white gold jewelry... Originally, I thought yellow gold would look better cuz of the tannish sash, but I really don't wear much yellow gold jewelry, and I wondered if it's really necessary. My Ering and wedding ring are platinum, and if I wear gold jewelry it would just be potentially earrings/necklace/bracelet gold and the rings would be that silver color...
Or should I just wear all plat/white gold colored jewelry?

I would stick with white gold or maybe pearls?
IMO, white gold and pearls are pretty classic and can go with anything. Yellow gold is more difficult to match up - plus you seem to prefer the look of the platinum/white gold, so I'd stick with that.

If your rings are platinum then I think it would clash if you wore yellow gold. You could always wait for the dress to come in and take a swatch w/ you to some stores to see how it would look w/ the different types of jewelry. If you don't think platinum or white gold looks good w/ the dress, pearls would go w/ anything.

Hey chicka! I like the pearls idea... I have a thin set of pearls with a heart in the center that has like pavee (??) diamonds all over it and is in white gold... if you want you can check that out... and then you can bring the platinum and white gold jewelry. I will take a pic of it and fm it to you when i get a sec. Otherwise, try them both on with the dress and ask your BMs and MOHs and MOB what they think... i think you kind of have to see it both, you know? I don't think i can say right now without seeing it. I'm wearing an ivory dress and personally my ering is white gold and my jewelry is a necklace made of freshwater pearls and swarvoski (i doubt i spelled that correctly) crystal spacers..and my earrings are also freshwater pearls...they go nicely
