Re: jewish brides . . .
I don't know if we are having one because we are getting married at the reception place so you do the rehersal about a 1/2 hour before hand. If you don't have the money then you don't have to do it - but it is always nice to have. You usually do a rehersal wherever you are getting married and then go for dinner. If I was getting married in a church or temple, I would probably have one. Totally up to you!

Jewish people do not have rehearsals....but you can if you want , have a dinner the night before with all of your out of town guests. I even remember once hearing that rabbi's will not even perform a rehearsal. I know for my wedding we are going to have a run-through right before the actual ceremony

Hiya. For my jewish wedding this past June we held a dinner the night before, but we didn't rehearse. We didn't even consider religion in the decision, we just thought it was a nice way to thank the bridal party and the out of town guests.

I'm not Jewish, but my FH is. From what his parents told me (he is clueless about Jewish wedding traditions) it is not customary for Jewish couples to hve a rehersal dinner, but it's fine if you do.
We are not having one for a few reasons. We are getting married at the hall and will rehearse before the ceremony and also, alot of our BP is out of state and it may be difficult for them t o get here for it.

We are having a rehearsal dinner, but not an actual rehearsal. My sister did the same thing. My rabbi said he has never done a rehearsal, just a quick run through right before we walk down the aisle.

My is Jewish, I am RC, and we are having a RD, but no rehearsal - we are trying to avoid calling it an RD though

Re: jewish brides . . .
my concern is that there will not be enough time for pictures before the ceremony, especially if there is a quick run through beforehand. there is also a wedding planned for the afternoon at my hall that ends at 5, and my ceremony starts at 6.
hmm, maybe the best thing to do is to take pictures somewhere else before the ceremony and sign the ketubuh earlier in the day.
does anyone know of any good locations in november?

Typically there is no 'rehearsal'. However, many jewish people have a dinner the night before just to get everyone together before the big day.
