Re: Jewish Brides...
We just started looking for ketubahs this weekend. My sister got hers at Zion Lion in New Hyde Park (have a store in Huntington too). We went to Huntington and the woman was really nice although we didn't love any they had on display. Chances are it will need to be ordered anyway bc they can't carry all the prints in all the denominations. We need a reform one.
Zion Lion also has their own calligrapher for the personalization (names, parents names, place and date)

I am a Jewish Bride as well and my Rabbi said he will get me one. But not that I see there are so many different ones, maybe I should get one myself? Has anyone gotten price quotes yet? I need a reformed one since FH is Catholic.

they are around $180 - $400. It all depends on the artist and level of detail, etc.

I need a reform one too...seems like most sites give you the option of what text you want on the katubah. I am picking out my own bc i plan to frame it and hang it in the house. If you dont plan on doing that you can prob just use what your rabbi provides you with

Re: Jewish Brides...
I got my ketubah at Ketubah.com - it was about $350 which included getting a size upgrade and a completely personalized ketubah (plus shipping, obviously). it looks great though.
note that you'll still want to get your ketubah framed ... it cost me about $300 at Michael's (and that's WITH a 55% off coupon).
as for yarmulke's, i bought them from SkullCap.com - they seemed to have the best prices. I bought the black suede ones. I heard other LIW girls warning about kippahs made with shiny material (like satin or whatnot) because it supposedly could create glare in the pictures.
