Jewish Brides

Hey girls,

I have a couple of questions...
For those that ordered personalized yarmulkes online.. what website did you use?

Would you recommend them?

Also... When do you get the ketubah? and where?

Re: Jewish Brides

got my yarmulkes at KippotCenter.com - black suede ones with a silver trim. They came out nice. Only thing was that i was told it'd take a month to arrive and it took about two months (and I had to call customer service).

my ketubah is from ketubah.com - it was about $350. it took about a month to validate the info (rabbi had to sign off on it and it took him a while) and then about a week till we go tthe ketubah. I then went to Michael's with a 55% off framnig coupon and got a frame for it (it was about $150 i believe).

i ordered my kippots from A1 Skullcap. I was happy with the service and would recommend them.

our ketubah is a michelle rummel design that we purchased from gallery judaica. a few days after we ordered it went on sale. i called the company, and they refunded me the difference. based on that i would definitely recco them as well

Hey!

We bought ours at galleryjudaica.com. I found that they had a great selection of ketubah styles and the largest selection of beautiful texts to choose from. Some artists offer different packages that come mounted, but we ordered the basic package, and then brought it to a framer (there is a good one in East Meadow my family used for years) and she matted the ketubah before the ceremony and prepared it for framing. I brought her a sheet of plastic vinyl that she placed over the ketubah to protect it during the ceremony and then after the wedding we had it framed. We actually picked out the frame ahead of time and my mom dropped it off for me while i was on my HM and it was ready when we came back!

Hey!

So you can basically choose anything you want.. or do you have to have your rabbi approve it?

Re: Jewish Brides

did you use your last name on the yarmulkes or just first?

Yes, show rabbi before purchasing.

your Rabbi needs to approve the text .... ours said anything would be fine though. The Rabbi also approves of the spellings and whatnot (checks that you entered everything correctly).

Honestly, i don't really remember ... i think we just put our first names in both English and Hebrew, thoguh.

Rabbi has to approve the text...

we bought ours from mpartworks.com.
