Jewish brides - a question for you!

Jewish brides - a question for you!

Where did you purchase your ketubah, kippot (yarmolka's) and the kiddush cup?

Do Ketubah's come in small sizes (8x11 vs. 11x14 and up)?

Does the kiddush cup have to be metal or can it be glass/crystal?

Thank you so much for help. I need to start on this stuff soon.

Yuzzels or Zion Lion will have what you need.. for a ketubah you can go to Ketubah .com to find some ideas

We are using my FH's Kiddish cup, his mom is getting the yarmukles locally, and they are ordering the ketubah off the internet for us

But - Yussels Place in Merrick has a good selection

As far as your other questions-

They come in all sizes.

I don't think they make crystal ones, but I could be wrong.

I ordered mine from Yussels. They have a website, I think it is www.yusselsplace.com. or just Yussells.com. I got my yarmaulkes from Borough park(Brooklyn) from the wholesaler directly and saved a lot of money by doing that. I used mazel skull caps. They were so nice to work with. The kiddush cup and the rest we are going to use the ones I have in my curio cabinet, but I know Fortunoff sells them also.

We got our kippot from http://www.miriamjudaica.com/ (they were the cheapest I could find at the time, good selection, and came out fine!)

My kiddush cup was borrowed from my Mom. The ketubah was provided by the Cantor. So I don't have any advice on those!

Re: Jewish brides - a question for you!

I got my kiddush cup from Fortunoffs - they have some beautiful, traditional ones there. I got a metal one, as it just seemed fitting. With respect to the breaking of the glass, I got that glass from Yussels! And they give it to you in a pouch, and you give the pouch (with the broken pieces in it) back to them, and they make this beautiful glass sculpture. It's a solid glass cube-like structure, and then they 'suspend' the broken glass inside of it, and they put your name and wedding date on it. It's absolutely beautiful!!! You should look into it!!!
