If you are getting married on a Sat night and you have to wait till 6 to get to the Temple, get dressed and have the ceremony at 730 or 8..when are you taking pics? I dont want to miss the cocktail hour but I cannot imagine getting dressed at home and then going somewhere to take pics, then you have to rent a car service and it gets too $$$...I dont know what to do!

Re: Jewish Brides Come in..
I'm not in that situation, but it's pretty common to take pictures before the ceremony, especially since it will be dark when you get to the temple. I'd investigate places near the temple where you can take photos ahead of time.
You'd only need the limo or car for a short amount of time, so it really might not add up to much for them to pick you up at home, wait for you for an hour at a park, etc, and then take you to the reception. Talk to Joe from Camelot, I'm sure he can work something out for you.
If you don't need an antique or fancy car, it might cost less than you think. I'd definitely look into it before you rule it out. That way you can get beautiful daytime /sunset pictures. Or maybe you can have friends drive you there and back

I didn't get married at a Temple but my cousin did outside of Philly. She ended up getting ready at the Temple and seeing DH before the ceremony. They took pictures around the Temple and outside the Temple. With the right photographer, they can find GREAT pictures ANYWHERE you give them. This might also be an option for you. Then after pictures they went back to the rooms to freshen up and they had to do those pre-wedding tradiations (it was a conservative Temple) and then the ceremony. They went to their cocktail hour after their 20 minutes alone after the ceremony and no more pictures were taken except for the party.

Re: Jewish Brides Come in..
My sister got married and had reception at a temple. We got ready at the temple after getting hair done....makeup and getting dressed was done there. We then took pictures with just our family.....then bil and sis backed up and turned around and saw eachother for the first time caught on film....so all formal pics were done before the ceremony....this is more traditional at a Jewish wedding....
