Jewish brides-Ideas for remembering loved ones who have passed

Hey girls,

I am trying to get ideas for remembering my granparents on my wedding day who have passed away What is the right way to do it according to Jewish traditions? I do not think Jews use unity candles, do they ?

Unity candles are not for memorials. They symbolize the uniting of two into one.

You can ask the rabbi if he/she would allow a memorial candle. I have one for my mom with her name inscribed on it that will be lit at the beginning of the ceremony.

have you thought about a yahrzeit candle? i know that's for the anniversary, but you could ask your rabbi if it's appropriate to light it either during or after the ceremony.
