Jewish brides-ideas for remembering loved ones who have passed away
Hey girls,
I am trying to get ideas for remembering my granparents on my wedding day who have passed away What is the right way to do it according to Jewish traditions? I do not think Jews use unity candles, do they ?
TIA

Unity candles aren't to remember people, they are to signify two becoming one (and BTW, they aren't a catholic tradition either, and I have seen them at Jewish wedding)
A memorial candle is let in remembrance of those who have passed. I don't believe this is a specific catholic tradition either. I would discuss it with your Rabbi and see what they say.
If you are having a program at your ceremony you could always put something in there.
FH and I didn't want to list out people's names in our programs because we didn't want to leave anyone out and we didn't want a list a mile long either, so in our programs we put...
As we celebrate this day with our family and friends, we remember those who are not with us today, but are here in spirit.
