Jewish Brides.... Transportation???

Jewish Brides.... Transportation???

My mom and I are discussing whether or not Jewish weddings use limos. How does everyone work this out? Do you have them? Who goes in the limo? WHere does everyone get the limo? What about after the weddings? What about the bridal party and each of their significant others? Please help settle the dispute. Thanks

Okay, this is what we are doing..... I also put a lot of thought into this. Becsause ceremony and reception are in the same place and as bride and groom, we are first to arrive and last to leave, no one will ever see us, we are not doing the limosine. Instead, there is a shuttle bus that we got (about a half mile from the reception place) from a limo company for the night whose sold purpose it is to transport guests at differerent times to and from the reception. Everyone will be getting ready at the hotel. We figured, for a half mile, the limo was a little wasteful.

We are getting to the catering hall by the MOH and BM, no one is going to see us arrive anyway, the ceromony is at the hall, and the BM and GM are getting there on there own. We thought about this also and said, no one is seeing them get there , it is a waste of $$ and not a tradional thing to do. But today anything goes, so it is really up to you.

Our ceremony and reception were all at one place (Crest Hollow Country Club), but we did use a limo just to take us from the end of the wedding to our hotel. I just didn't want to get into a regular car in my wedding dress!

My mom insisted that me and my family and dh and his family went to the venue in two separate limos, even though I totally though that it wan't neccessery! She said it had to be done because it was a special day and she wouldn't have it any other way! So me, parents, my sis and grandma went in one limo all together, and dh's parents and brother went in the other one! It was actually nice and very relixing, and YES, special! I mean, when I am going to ride in the limo if not on my own wedding day!

In my case, the bridal party consisted of my sister and his brother and they were in the limos!
