Jewish/Catholic Wedding on Long Island....Need Venue Help!!!!

Hey everyone,

Ok so here's my story. I recently got engaged and have started looking for venues on long island. I am jewish and my fiance is catholic, so we cant do a temple or church. We looked at the carltun at eisenhower and were going to book it, however our band leader and a few others told me that for the price for a sunday night, we were wasting our money.

Anyway, I am looking for a a sunday twilight in october or november of 2010. Does anyone have some suggestions on venues we can look? I really cant afford to spend more than $155 a plate. I can look at country clubs, mansions, you name it..however i definetly would like to be the only bride at the place!!

If you have any suggestions or ideas, i definetly would appreciate it. Thank you!!

I agree! North Ritz is so beautiful, one wedding at a time, and the food is AMAZING

Another vote for North Ritz Club here. Check out my review for pics of our interfaith ceremony at the NRC.

The Garden City Hotel does up to two weddings at a time but they are on entirely different levels so the bride and groom do not see each other. I am getting married there.

My (Catholic) cousin married her (Jewish) husband at the Bourne Mansion and they had a lovely ceremony.

If you want to get married at a 'church-type' place outside of the RH, the CW Post Interfaith Center is a great choice. A friend of mine got married there back in August - she's Jewish and her husband is Catholic.

Try the Bourne Mansion, Deseversky Center, The Crescent Beach Club, The Woodlands & the Royalton in Roslyn.

We were married @ The Vineyard Caterers.

Check out the Woodlands - you can do ceremony and reception there. You should be able to get that price for a Friday or Sunday...

I'm getting married at a non-denominational chapel with a minister/rabbi, then our reception is at the watermill (they couldn't accomodate our ceremony on a sat night)
but they could other days.

We got married at Larkfield Manor on a Sat night in September in 2006. My husband is Jewish. I'm Catholic. It was a beautiful outdoor ceremony. Our friends made this of our ceremony.

I'm Jewish FH is catholic. We're having an interfaith ceremony at THe Royalton Mansion on a sunday at twighlight. We worked out a price in the range you are looking for with extras included.

They have a fully customized menu, you have the whole place to yourself and you can sleep there.
