jim hjelm bm dresses

did any of your girls have problems with the zipper?

two of my girls can't get the zippers to go up and it's not b/c the dresses are too tight since they were ordered much bigger than the girls are.

the place i ordered the dresses from doesn't do alterations and i'm sure it's a simple fix by the tailor. it's just annoying b/c the dresses weren't cheap and the zippers should work properly.

i had this problem when i was a BM last year in a jim hjelm dress

i brought it to a tailor and she fixed it but im not sure what she did exactly

wahhhh?!?!?! This is really an issue with Jim Hjelm? Bummer! I'm waiting for my girls dresses to come in...I hope none of them have this problem....they spent enough money on those dresses and they should zip properly!

yes no only JH... but lazaro and alvina also!!!! my girls all got different dresses and all have zipper problems!!! The zipper eats the material!

i called the boutique where my girls ordered their dresses from and the manager told me to bring in the dresses and he'd cover the cost to get the zippers fixed.

my girls got their bm dresses at a boutique in forest hills.

i think they paid a little over $200 with tax.

yup.

Some of my girls had their fittings recently in their alvina valenta (same jim hjelm family of designers) gowns and their zippers had a tough time zipping up.

The bridal salon told me it is because there is a lot of fabric by the zipper because jim hjelm, alvina valenta, etc like to have the 'hidden zipper' effect. Well regardless, after playing with the zipper a few times, it does zip up... you just have to give it a good tug.
