Hey girls;
I've been looking for a job for a while now, and am so discouraged because I can't seem to find anything!! Do you girls know of any jobs opening for an executive assistant or a secretary? If you do, please help!! Thank you!

I was focused in looking in the city, I am also fine with queens or anywhere around Woodbury.

Keep checking monster, hot jobs, NY Times and craigslist. I keep seeing a lot on hot jobs.

Also network, network, network, with anyone you've worked with in the past and get the word out there via friends and family.

I wish I could be of some help. Best of luck. I only know of things within school districts. If you are interested in working as a secretary in a school, check the school websites. They always post jobs on there.

So sorry - I am in the same boat for 3 weeks now Check monster, career builder and NYS unemployment website has a huge posting board. It seems to me that most positions are closer to you. Good luck. You'll find a great job soon !!!

I read this earlier and I didnt have anything useful to contribute b/c I too am hopelessly searching for a job, but I just got an email for a job fair in Plainview at the Holiday Inn on Sunnyside Blvd. I went to one just like it a few years back at the one in Hauppauge. It's tomorrow from 10am to 5 pm and its free admission. Just bring resumes and you will have the opporunity to speak to these companies face to face.
I am planning on going there myself at some point tomorrow.
