Ok, so i posted a few weeks ago about a possible job as a group supervisor....well, i got it -- i started -- and i hate it!!! it's working with preschool kids and blaaaaaah -- not my thing. I just graduated in december with a degree in secondary english education -- obviously, im not finding a teaching job anytime soon..
so, anyways...it's a veryyyyy easy job. I pretty much hang out with kids all day, plus the job offers health insurance -- its not full time-- about 25-30 hours a week. various hours/times each day 20 little kids, just ehhh not for me --i thought id like it...
well, i applied for a job as an editor/writer for a local newspaper (in PA) -- the lady is really interested -- wants to set up an interview blah blah blah -- i know i'd like it -- i love writing, im good at writing, im good at editing, and i would get to do interviews and shiiit. its monday-friday 9-4. but no health insurance.
what if i get offered the job -- WHAT DO I DO?!?!??!?!! LOLOLOL

Re: Job Advice
does your FH have health insurance you can go on as soon as you're married? if so i'd take the job, pay out of pocket for health ins for a few months, then go on his plan immediately after the wedding!

Re: Job Advice
You'll probably be eligible for COBRA from this job you hate...I'd pay for that until the wedding then go on FH's.

Re: Job Advice
you can't do this if you are getting married at a church, which it seems like OP is doing. The church won't sign the marriage license if its not dated w/in 60 days of the wedding...
FH and I were tempted to do this until I found out that the license is only good for 60 days!!. soorrryyy!!!

Re: Job Advice
Some states have health insurance plans you can buy into if your job doesn't offer you insurance... I know in NY it's called Healthy NY, I'm not sure if they have it in PA but it's often cheaper than COBRA.
