Job interview presentation

Job interview presentation

Hey all,

I have a job interview on Wednesday and I have to do a 3-5 minute presentation on any topic I want. I chose to do it on 'Effective Presenting'. I've done millions of different types of presentations in my life between work and school, but I'm nervous about this b/c it's a big part of the interview and I really want this job.

I researched some stuff on the Web about creating an effective presentation and even got creative with Power Point... but I don't know if they will have any technology available... so I just printed out the slides and will make 2 copies - 1 for each interviewer. I want this to go really well. I'm trying to think of ways to dress this up and add some humor in. On some slides where I show 'samples' of a poster presentation I put in 'Hire 'ME'' on the poster and for a sample of a power point presentation I drew a picture of a computer (my version of power point is so outdated there's limited clip art so I'm going to do some drawing - is that tacky?) and the sample slide reads: '3 top reasons to hire 'me'' with 3 bullets that say 'Enthusiasm'; 'Team Player'; and 'Excellent presentations skills'. Thinking they may find the subliminal messages cute. How does this sound so far. Making presentation to large groups is the basis of the job. Thoughts???

What if you brought a laptop and played the presentation on the laptop. How many people will be in the room? This way if they do have a projector or monitor you can hook the laptop right up to it.
