job posting (mental health)

Hi Girls,
I posted this once before but the opening for the position was delayed until I passed my LMSW exam. Well, I passed and will now be moving on in my career. So now I am looking for someone to fill my position (because my boss is amazing and I want to find her someone good) at my present job. The position is for an intake coordinator at a children and families mental health agency in Nassau. There are a lot of perks (vacation, sick time, etc, hours, and my AWESOME boss!) THe position is for someone who screens all mental health calls and assigns them to therapists, provide crisis intervention, and so much more. The position requires a BA (preferably in psychology, sociology, psychology). If anyone is interested in getting into the mental health field then it is amazing because you get so much exposure. If you are anyone you know is interested, let me know. Thanks!

I am sorry to be annoying!!!!!

LOL! Aww, I totally understand, I remember feeling crazy during the planning process. I had to try to keep everything into perspective. Remember your day will be perfect no matter what because you are getting married. Don't worry about the little things. It is the two of you loving each other and marrying one another that anyone ever cares about.

Thanks! I made myself crazy with the exam. I took the aatbs prepare manuals and they seemed to really help. The exam, was a lot easier then the practice exams that I took. Good Luck with yours! Remember to just breathe!

Re: job posting (mental health)

i replied this morning but apparently it didn't post? odd

Anyway, congratulations on passing the licensing exam!

Is it a full time or part time position and what's the salary like?

What position are you advancing to...if you don't mind my asking.

I'm an LMSW, currently working in the hospital setting but would possibly be interested in a part time job.

Aww, thanks! I am so glad it is over. It is a full time position but I would say your over qualified. The position is for someone looking to just get into the field. Also, it is a full time job. How do you like working in a hospital. I had applied to some hospitals but have never worked in one but I heard it is amazing experience.

I like it, it's definitely busy and can get monotonous. But for the most part, it's fine. Pay is higher than most other areas of sw (from my experience anyway), but if you're looking for more therapy type work, it might not be the right area. Unless you work in a psych hospital - i did my internship at one and loved it
