Re: job question????

that was my last job. I worked tues, wed, thurs, sat, sun.

At times it stunk cause most of my friends had off on the weekends, plus my days off weren't in a row (which was a benefit at times and a negative at times), but I would definitely do that again if the pay was right and the job was one I enjoyed

THe one huge benefit was it was SO much easier to get 'errands' done cause stores, post office, banks are less crowded on weekdays!

Just curious, but what kinds of jobs are you girls talking about that lend themselves to those kinds of hours?

I used to have off sunday and monday-and it stunk when there was a family event or holiday weekend, because I would have to use my time, or get coverage, but I loved being off while everyone was at work...it was really relaxing, and much easier to get errands done, doctors appts, shopping.

No. I don't necessarily need both days of the weekend off, but I like to have the 2 days off in a row. So I think I could deal with having off Friday & Saturday or Sunday & monday, but I don't think I would want the days split and have both days off during the week.

My dad had hours like that for a while- he had Tues & Wed off and I know it was a huge PITA for my parents if they had a family function or a wedding to attend. My brother is a chef and only has Monday & Tuesday off, but in that line of work, it's typical.
