Is anyone on this board a day care center director or know of anyone with this job? I just turned down a job as director of Kiddie Academy and now Tutor Time called me to be their director. Seems like so much responsibility for so little pay, but rewarding, and a way to get my foot in the door with education. I'd like some advice from people with this career (or not in the career) as to whether or not you think it would be a good gig. My other opportunities are to return to my old field (Fundraising/Marketing Director) or sub. Opinions (good and bad), please!

Well, Jeez ... I didn't have to post here to get that opinion from you! Thanks for responding though!

Totally up to you...
Its a lot of paperwork at times and of course a great deal of responsibility. Dealing with parents is kind of hard at times as well but I would say try it!
I am a preschool teacher and one of my best friends owns the school so this is where I speak from.

I miss my pre-k class! This is another option for me. I'm trying to move up, but I think I'd miss the classroom so much. Thanks for your input. I really appreciate it.
