Job venting post

Anyone want to vent about their job?

I have to leave because I can't take the commute anymore esp. with the weather.

I just started a new job. I've worked one day so far and the commute is already getting to me. I don't know what to do!

I'm sorry. How long is your commute?

I've been at my craptacular job for almost 3 years and any skills I once had have been drained out my completely, thus leaving me skill-less, bitter and resentful.

And I have the creepy Stealth Slider at work.

And my supervisor has a voice like a nail gun.

My commute is sucky too...car to the RR, RR to 2 subways...URRRRRRR!

Our school also is so diverse (which is fine), but NONE of the teachers really talk or hang out. Everyone comes in, does their hours & is gone. We don't have a faculty room & it makes it harder b/c there's no one to vent to or be friendly with. Also, anytime someone is out, they take my assistant away (for her to sub) so then I'm left on my own with 14 three year olds!!!!!I'm counting the days till June...& keeping my fingers crossed that SOMETHING comes up on LI.

Then this week the parents have been late coming to get their kiddos and I miss my LIRR train by 1-2 minutes & have to sit at Penn for 30 minutes. URRRR

I feel for ya ladies!!!

If the weather is perfect and there is no traffic, it's a solid hour...about 45 miles. I hit morning commute traffic the other day and it took me an hour and a half. God knows what that'll be like when it snows.

Commutting sucks out loud! My commute isn't that bad(40 minutes), but if I leave the house just 1 minute late it adds 20 minutes to my commute!

It's like I exist in this surreal and annoying nexus!

Cindy, I know you have been telling me about your commute and I feel bad about it.


I have to go to Babylon and on a good day it takes an hour.

I'm sorry you both have to go through this too.

definitely hate my job as well! it's so boring and i really don't like the people in my dept. no one talks to each other. it's so bizarre.

my commute hadn't been bad but since that subway fire the other day it's been awful. hopefully this won't last the whole 6-9 months they are fixing it!
