I would tell them only if they offer you the job

that's not allowed!! EQUAL OPPORTUNITY! They arent allowed to ask u that (at least in my profession) and you do not have to reveal ANY personal info!!!!!!!!!!!

if they ask you during the interview, which they shouldn't, then be honest. otherwise you have no obligation to ttell them until they offer you a position.

my recruiter actually told me not to wearing my engagement ring. she said it was too distracting and they might bring up the subject. i skipped it and got the job. :) it might benefit you that you're getting married SOON. who would want to a hire a girl like me going into the final months of planning? ahha.

They cannot legally ask you (but the ring tends to be a give away), so you might want to take it off. But go, interview, they don't need to know until after they offer you the job.

Good luck!

i wouldn't tell them unless they ask if there is anything coming up or vacations planned, etc.

if they dont ask outright, then tell them when they offer you the position

Crashing. Don't bring it up unless they do! When I interviewed for my position in 2009 (a few months before getting married), one of the girls on the search committee happened to be engaged...she saw my ring and immediately started asking me about my wedding. It actually wound up helping me!

I totally agree...

It stinks, but your mom is right. Although it's illigal for someone not to hire you just because you're engaged employers might reject you for that reason.

it hurts, but you should take off your ring when you interview... and I wouldn't tell them until after you've signed your name on your new contract.

'I'm so excited to work for you guys and I can't wait to sink my teeth into my first project... I hope it's ok that I'll need XX amount of days of in May. When I was planning my wedding I didn't realize I'd find a new job so quickly!'

This. I don't wear my ring to interviews so that I can avoid the possible discrimination!
