oh the DOE is terrible...Majority of people dont know where they are working till late August. I was hired in July, but then there was budget cuts and they let me go...then I was rehired on Aug 28 the day before we had to go in...its really terrible

Thats scares me!! I haven't even had any interviews yet. Any advice??

There is a place on the doe website that tells you where there are openings all around the city...I would find the schools taht you want to teach in...find out the name of the Ap and personally go and drop off your resume...I did this and I got a few callbacks...

i love my job abd i love my profession, I am really lucky... I get to use my brain everyday and figure out what my test reactions are...its like cooking or baking, but just with chemicals and human fluids!! Its nice having been put it a second department now (I was in endocrinology but now I am also in radioactive immunoassys...its soooo much fun!!)
