John Anthony's 12month Dr's Visit !

I forgot to recap it for you guys last week!

We went the morning after his birthday.

My son is Perfect.

That is all I have to report.

Just kidding

He weighs 21.7 pounds and is 30 inches long.
50th % for height and a little lower for weight.
I thought he weighed more because he feels 'solid' when you hold him, and everyone thinks he's 'huge' (oh the comments )

He got 2 shots (Prevnar and the Chicken Pox shot). He cried for 2 minutes and that was it.


... We started thinking back to our first visit there and how teeny tiny he was... and here he was actually UNDERSTANDING what was going on. His facial expressions and reactions were so precious, and mommy wanted to cry too...

Im not looking forward to the day he starts screaming when he just sees the parking lot...
(Which I hear is VERY soon!)

OH- PS -WOO HOO no more formula!
We started weaning him from it later that day, (Half milk, Half Enfamil or 60/40) and he's fine with all milk already. Doc told us 3-4 days...

thats terrific Anna. Ja is certainly getting to be a big boy. And now only milk - what a cost saver

They will start hating the office. But, Patrick knows he can get a lollipop after. It usually cheers him RIGHT up!

We could have told you he's perfect!! Glad to hear the Doc agrees

WooHoo....I am doing the no more formula dance for you right now!!! Well, at least not until baby #2 is ready for it

Hey, what makes you girls thinking BFing wont work this time around ?? Just teasin.
I nursed JA for 3 months, and thats my goal for the next one too, hopefully a little longer if it goes smoothly enough..

But Im sure I wont be parting with Enfamil for good.

Dont be sorry, I sometimes forget too
Formula seems like easy street (based on my BF experience) so I tend to 'forget' about the tougher times.
