John J. Burns Park

John J. Burns Park

So I'm not from Long Island and don't really know much about a
Local stuff around Massapequa, which makes finding a park to take our pre wedding photos kind of complicated. Do you know if John J. Burns Park would be a good place to take photos? Is it a pretty park? do you need a permit? This would be so much easier if parks had websites!

Thank you!

I live in Massapequa Park and JJBurns is not that nice and you need a permit. I suggest the Massapequa Preserve I took my epics there and there are some really nice spots. Pics in my album if you want to see

Pearasal park is right by me. It's nice, nothing spectacular.
I would not recommend John J.
I might recommend Marjorie Post over Pearasal.

There is a nice little park on Merrick road in Amityville on the corner of Ocean that has some interesting designs and it's on the canal. Might not hurt to take a look at it. I don't believe it has a name. It's right near the high school.

Brady Park is near the Massapequa Preserve, more of a rustic/woodsy park feel.
