Joined CURVES today

I went for the first time today and I liked it.

Anybody have any opinions or experiences?

would you mind sharing the cost of Curves. I've been thinking about joining but i'm not sure if i can even afford it. I've heard great things about it!!!

The start up fee was $75 and the monthly fee is $39 which get deducted automatically from your checking account.

They said that the $75 start up fee is a summer special. I don't know what the cost is after the summer is over.

How is Curves different than say Lucille Roberts or another gym? I know it is all women, but besides that....

Congrats to you. My only advice is STICK TO IT!!!

Ive lost inches and body fat but Ive gotten lazy this summer. IT WORKS!!! Just remember you may gain weight because you are going to gain muscle. Dont give up!

How long did it take before you started to see results? Obviously I don't expect to start seeing them yet but I was just curious. I have a party to go to on Sept. 6th and I was kinda hoping to see some results by then.

Curves is 30 minutes. The gym 'equipment' is set up in a circle. You go to a machine and then you rotate around the circle every couple of seconds. In between hydrolic machines you go to a mat where you can run in place or jump around, something where you keep moving. It's actually kind of fun and it's only 30 minutes. I have heard a lot of good things about it. I just hope it works.

I started to see muscle definition in my arms about 2 weeks in to it. My clothes got looser about a month later. In my first month I lost 1.6% of my body fat.
