Joint Bachelor/ Bachelorette Party

Hello ladies. Wanted to get your oppinons and find out how many of you are having a joint bparty. FH and I do everything together so we wanted to do this together as well. But the BP and our friends are saying HECK NO!! lol I feel like anything I can do with/ in front of them I can do with FH and he feels the same and we are both not strip club people so.....What do you ladies think???

As of right now we are planning on having a joint party. Our whole BP are good friends and we feel we would have more fun if we had a party together.

I don't see why they won't have fun. I think it would probably be MORE fun if it was coed, but maybe that's just me. THey may be pushing you to keep it separate because they think they are supposed to

If my FH even mentioned this, I would tell him HELL NO! (and laugh at him like he's crazy!). I would NOT want him reining in on my parade! How am I supposed to be the super fun/crazy/wild person I can never be again if he's around?

What happens at a Bachelorette Party stays at a BP.. that's all I'm saying!

I wouldn't be opposed if FH wanted to do a joint Bachelor Party but I'm glad he doesn't because I want to enjoy my 'last hurrah' with my girls lol

FH and I are doing a joint Bachelor/Bachelorette Party. We don't want to do strip clubs and strippers and stuff.

I dont want strip clubs or anything like that but I still say no to the joint party. I feel like then its like any other type of birthday celebration. IN my opinion it makes it less special and more like any other night to go out. I love to have those girls nights because they happen so rarely as everyone gets married and busy with their own stuff.

If a joint bachelor/bachelorette party is what you want, then that is what you should do! Don't let anyone tell how its 'supposed' to be. It is your wedding and you should do it the way you want to!

This is how I feel about it. FH and i are NOT strip club people, so that will not be involved, but we are still having two separate parties.

That being said, it's your wedding so if thats what you both want, do it your way!!!

One thing I do have to say is that my friend was completely against having a bacelorette party.. so much so she wanted to have a joint get together and play laser tag.

That being said..We, being the good friends we are, completely changed her mind and took her out for just a fun night... a very fun night that ended hours after the clubs closed.

There were no strippers, but we had a blast and she thanked us for what we did. It's not about strippers or anything dirty.. it's about going out, having an amazing time that you'll always remember.

You can do whatever you want to!! I've been to a joint party and I've been to just bachelorette parties. Both were so fun in their own way. The joint party was in OC, Maryland so it was a nice little getaway for all the couples and at a couple points in the night the guys and girls would seperate. The girls still gave the bride all the cheesy bachelorette stuff and she loved it (even though the groom wasn't 100% thrilled, hah). If you want to party together with all your friends, I say go for it!

Even though you may do everything together, I still think you both deserve a night out alone to just have fun with your friends! I could never do a joint b-party, but if that is what you truly want, than that is what you should have!

here's an idea: My friend rented a BIG YELLOW school bus for all the guys and girls and we headed into the city. The guys went to a strip club (not that you have to, but this is what we did), and the girls went to a male review. After, we all met up at a fun bar and drank together.

It was a TON of fun. Whether you split at first for dinner, or maybe a spa treatment, or bowling... who cares? Then join up later, so you get the best of both worlds.

I say, if this is what you want, you shouldn't let your bridal party influence your decision! Or you can try a compromise perhaps you can plan some activities apart, and then meet up at the end?

I will always act 'Crazy' if u wanna call it like that WITH or WITHOUT my FH around..
I am the same person... So i dont mind having him around for my BP in fact WE love the idea of doing a joing bp...

I was going to suggest something like this--- dinner together first, split for some cheeky gender-related fun (doesn't have to be stripper related but can still be girls-only!), and then maybe reconvene for drinks later.
