Has anyone every been to or having a joint bachelorette/bachelorette party with FH? I've been thinking about it, at first I was all for it & now I'm asking myself, 'Do I want to be there & do I really want him there? I figured I would throw this question out there and see what kinds of responses I get...

Re: Joint Bachelorette/Bachelor Party
i was actually in my friends bridal party- she did a joint party for both of them b/c they are both not into the stripers & all - they just wanted to go out & have fun. we went to dinner in the city & a comedy club-some people are into it or not

Re: Joint Bachelorette/Bachelor Party
this is definitely a personal choice
but in my opinion, having a joint party would take away from some of the traditional fun aspects of a bach. party
it is supposed to be a chance to go crazy with your girls. . . and i think it is easier for girls to really let loose without the guys there
as for the guys, FH will probably end up at a strip club at some point - and even though i would go with him. . . i am sure it is a COMPLETELY different experience without the girls there. . .
one alternative is maybe go to dinner all together and hit up a bar - then split up for some of the other stuff
but as for us i know we will have a completely seperate bach. party!

Re: Joint Bachelorette/Bachelor Party
we are doing a jack and jill... i guess if you really enjoy going crazy with the girls (or guys) then it really isn't for you but since i'm WAY passed that point in my life and so is FH (one of the reasons we are getting married lol) we decided on jack and jill b/c it was different and unique-- and sounded like fun!! we are going out for a nice dinner at tavern on the green followed by a dance cruise around manhattan. our BP was actually REALLY excited about it b/c so many of them have been to a ton of bachelor and bachelorette parties and this idea strayed from the 'norm' that they have all done so many times. plus, everyone in our party (for the most part) is all couples or in relationships so it will be a nice opportunity to have a romantic group night out!! YAY!! but it's a personal choice-- you gotta do what you want, it's you and your FH's big day!!

Re: Joint Bachelorette/Bachelor Party
FSIL had a jack and jill party... It was fun. We are going to do the same thing. Again, we are past the going out and getting crazy drunk phase. We both feel that it would be fun to get a party bus and go out to the hamptons. Half of our bridal party are couples already. The rest can bring thier significant other and we can all dance, drink, and have a good time. But, its a personal decision. I undestand why some would want traditional parties.

I would love to do that, but I don't think my FH and his groomsman would want to go to a spa for a day... I would love to go paintballing though!

Re: Joint Bachelorette/Bachelor Party
IMO, that is LAME. Regardless of the whole 'last night out' thing, how often do you go out with just the girls? I know that my girl's nights out have significantly decreased since starting dating FH and even moreso since we got engaged. I can imagine that once I'm married, girls nights out are really going to be few and far between, especially when kids come around. I want to take full advantage of having a crazy girls night out and the same for FH before we get married. Not to mention, if I even suggested such an idea to FH or his friends, I might as well castrate him while I'm at it!

I agree with this
Although I have been to a joint BP party and we did have a blast with the guys, but for me I definitely do want to have my own with the girls.
