you know what's so cute, I asked my students who they wanted to win...and a bunch of kids said 'I want Jordin to win because she's originally from Ridgewood!' That's the town I teach in! I had no idea she was originally from Jersey!

She went to the elementary school that my mentor teaches at - I keep forgetting to ask him if he remembers her as a kid. He's a music teacher too! So he had to notice some talent. I just hope she wasn't a brat like my current singing star- We have a second grader who's mom completely whores her out...it's disgusting.

I loved her from day 1! I do like Blake but I feel like his beat boxing was getting played out! Oh man my sister is gonna flip...she loved him!!

Jordin Won!!! Congratulations to her. She gave it her 150% percent.

that's really sad about your 2nd grader though - sometimes i just don't understand parents. it's like they wanted that type of life for themselves, couldn't achieve it, so they whore out their kids to 'make it' for them

Yeah supposedly they lived In Ridgewood when her dad played for the Giants- I have to talk to my mentor and get the scoop because if she was at that school 10 years ago, he definitely had to have taught her when she was there!

oh man this mom is DISGUSTING. In our winter concert, which is only meant as an ensemble performance, this 2nd graders mom pressured me to give her daughter a solo (she actually gave me the music for a completey separate song to the concert)- when NO ONE gets a solo in these concerts - it's policy. when I didn't give her a solo- guess who wasn't there for the concert the next day?

Not to mention she has this disgusting website for her- with her in a friggin bikini, letting people know where she's performing. Um HELLO? This is on the internet here, woman! Sickos out there!

Sorry to digress! I did a little googling and it seems that Jordin was well-liked in Ridgewood.
