jordon almonds -- too soon?
I want to get a jump on the 'little things' and thought I would work on the Jordon almond 'clusters' (for lack of a better word). Is is too soon? Will they melt together?

Well, I am making jordan almond flowers and the woman I bought everything from said that I should wait until at least 2 monthes before the wedding b/c the almond could get staile (sp?) and discolor.
I did mine already... I looked at it this way, God knows how long they have been sitting in that bag. (They don't have dates on them). We just did mine and put them in a air tight tupper and placed them in a closet. I want to get all the small stuff done early. I doubt they will stick together.
I never eat the Almonds anyway. I will be buying mine very soon
I wanted to do mine in a couple months. Get the small stuff out of the way. I say it doesn't really matter that much.
THey will get stale if you buy them too early
july0105 : Hi date twin! I was also thinking about working on the jordan almonds soon, but thought they might get stale if I did them too early. I asked the place where I am going to be getting them from and they told me I could do them if I wanted to and just keep them in an air tight container so that they will stay fresh, but I opted to wait until it gets a little closer before I do them.
i am getting married on 6/11 --my parents were in italy so my mom brought them back today - they told her as long as we don't open them and we keep them in a cool place they will be fine...
Good question...I was wondering the same thing but think I'll wait a little more. I have the bags and the rest of the favor ready sooo hopefully it won't be too hard.
I do think it's too soon. I recently received a favor (I know the bride did them a long time ago) and the jordon almonds were crumbling.
