Any feedback (negative or positive) on JoVon or Creative Compositions? Price range would be helpful also--thanks!

Creative Compsitions is really good - the are on the expensive side -would have cost me around $10,000 - price really isn't an issue for me (i know i am lucky) but I fund them to be too pompus - too worried about awards from the photos they took - I am getting married at the Bourne and even though they have done weddings there and i saw one book from there it did not hav any of the pcs i wanted - you should see ofr youself - I went with Leli because e takes as manypics as 2 photographer with only one photoghapher - and i want my phtotographer to e unobtrusive so i believe in less people - Jo Von - the books isaw were great but i ran out of time when i was home to talk to a lot of photograhers- hope that helps -they are just my opinions

I went to see Creative, they were really good and super nice. They tried to work with me on a package but it was too much $$ for what I was getting in the package. I went to see Leli Photography as well and I got alot more in the package at a better price. Also if i'm not mistaken both of the companies are digial and use similar equiptment. I'm getting an awesome digital album, 1000 proofs, 200 ty cards, 1 11x14, and a whole bunch of others...fm me if you want more details.

I didn't meet Creative, but i know people who have used Jovon. They too are very pricey and they take forever to get you an album. They did my best friend's wedding and messed up her album and she had a tough time getting it resolved.

also one thin i didn't like about creative is they take all digital in color and turn some into black and white - from talking wih other people you loose a little in the gray scale of black and white by doing it
Leli - has much lower overhead - gary works out of his house- but he is so accomating - I am getting everything i wanted from him for $3500 - wooul have been $10,000 for Creative- heads up if you day is longer than 8 hours you get really screwed -they don't budge on overtime much (they have a strange tipping policy if you go over - that i did ntot like)

I did not see Creative Compositions (don't remember why) but I have heard good things about them.
I did see JoVon and decided against them for a few reasons - were very expensive and I thought not as talented if I was going to spend that money (I spent a lot more money for my photographers than what JoVon quoted) I thought that their work was rather traditional and less creative.
The other reason I didn't go with them is that I know at least 3 girls who used them and were not happy with them for one reason or another. Complaints ranged from - they took forever to get proofs, then the albums etc., they didn't take 1/2 of the photos requested, albums were not right when delivered, and those were just a few of the long list that these people had to say.

JoVon and Creative Compositions are both excellent, but we will also be going with Leli. I think the relationship between the photographer and the bride is sooo important. If you are uncomfortable with the shooter I think it shows in all your pictures. After all he's really in your face - touching you etc. all day!!! Once you meet with Gary you'll know why so many brides rave about him!! His prices are very fair but it's him and the quality of his work that are most impressive!!!

I've never visited either but one of our GM is a photographer for JoVon and I know he takes excellent pictures :)

JoVon is known to have really poor customer service. I have heard a lot of bad things about them, so I did not even look.
I am using creative compositions. THEY ARE SO NICE!!! Oheka recommended them to me and they photographed the owner's daughter at her wedding. So I went on word of mouth. I also thought they were the nicest people...not pompous at all. The video company I am using also recommended them to me. They said that you can tell CC loves what they do.

I visited with JoVon before booking my photographer. They were about the same price but I thought they were horrible. The service was so bad when we met with them. Very disorganized and we didn't get to meet with any photographers. We literally walked out. I stopped the girl mid sentence and said I had seen enough !!!!

I'm getting nervous too! I'm using Jovon and so far, have had a very good experience. Ralph is my photographer, and our engagement photos came out beautifully! FH's family used them for bar and bat mitzvahs and were very happy with them. I hope I have a good experience...

We're using Creative Compositions and have had only positive experiences with them so far. We went in for our first appointment and booked on the spot. They were VERY accomodating and SO NICE! Not pompous at all, I think they're the farthest thing from that. I am so excited to see how everything turns out and don't really have any doubts! They are VERY creative - we came back again and met with our photographer and really loved him (Ernie)! We also met with JoVon and I've heard a few too bad many things about their customer service, which really turned me off. I also thought they were a little sketchy about which photographers took what pictures. I really had no confidence that the photographer I liked was the same one that they were actually going to give me. Jovon and Creative are probably on the same price level, but I think CC is more willing to work with you on price as well.
