JoVon Photography--is anyone using them?

Who are you meeting with? I met with JoVon, and although the pictures were beautiful I found him to be such a jerk that I just gave up on trying to figure out which photographer of theirs I'd want to use. They are expensive, but not a ridiculous amount more then other high end photographers. If you can get past the sales pitch, I'm sure you'd be very happy.

I am using JoVon photography and video for my 8/02 wedding.However Telmo is my photographer, and I never met JoVon personally. We looked through books, and picked out the 1 or 2 we liked best, and it was Telmo. Yes, they are pricy, but I feel they are worth it. I looked at the work of Mark Kauffman, Creative Compostions, and PatKen personally. I viewed Fine Art and Imagine on-line.They all were around the same price (give or take). All were beautiful, but Telmo's work at JoVon stood out to me. My second choice was Mark Kauffman, he had such nice work. Please feel free to ask any other questions. Continued success!

'pricey'?

Whenever people talk about photographers, the word 'pricey' comes up often. I was wondering what makes a photographer fall into that category? Above $2000? $3000? I know what i feel is pricey, but I was just wondering what my perception of the word is, in comparision to everyone else's take on it.

Jovon is the most sweetest, honest, and caring person I know. He personally took my photographes at my wedding a mouth ago. He is worth every penny, for something that last a lifetime and longer. I can just tell you that you should have a look at he''s studio, and talk to him, because to me he is the best.

I met with Jovon at his Long Island studio. All I can say is that it was breathtaking. He was very honest and I felt he really cared about my wedding as much as I do. His work was incredible, the best I have seen yet. His prices were reasonable, and worth every penny to me.

Wait till your wedding day for another Jo Von

My sister had him at her wedding and his attitude was incorigible. He actually caused a problem between my bridesmaids and ordered me and my family to pose for pictures. He wasn't pleasant and killed the happy mood of what should have been fun picture taking. Good luck, hope he's learned a bit of humility. In all honesty his photos aren't that better than other's.

I really hope you will be able to post happy comments after your wedding w/ JoVon but I couldn't. He was arrogant as well as his staff!! I paid thousands of dollars for snippy attitudes and nice pictures....pictures that I could of gotten elsewhere for cheaper(they weren't his famous wallshots) and nicer personalities!

I met with JoVon last night. His studio is beautiful and his pictures are magnificent. He was very familar with the location where we are getting married, so that made me feel very comfortable. We didn't book, but I think we are going to and we are going to use JoVon. He was very laid back and a lot was included in our package.
