what is the standard age of a Jr. Bridesmaid? When does she get considered a bridesmaid as opposed to a Jr.?

Re: Jr. Bridesmaid
I have 2 BM's that are 12 and 14. They WILL NOT Be Jr. BM's, I'm just not a fan of that whole concept, so, basically, I think it's up to you.

Re: Jr. Bridesmaid
i think 18 and over for a bridesmaid typically or maybe 16 and over i guess
but i would say for jr bridesmaid can start around 8(some will have FG's this age too though) but typically 10-18
my jr. bridesmaid will be 13

I would consider any one who is a minor (under18) a Jr. bridesmaid

my sister is 13 and was a bm in our recent bp, but she is tall for her age, too...my cuz same deal is 14 turning 15...damn what do they put in the milk nowadays?
here's a pic of me & my sis (13) to give you a better idea:
my 12 year old niece will be 13 at the wedding. she's a junior bridesmaid but since she's bigger than me i'm putting her in the bridesmaid dress.

My Goddaughter will be almost 15 by the time of our wedding. She's going to be a bridesmaid - partly because she looks older than her age abd partly because we don't have a junior GM to pair her with.

My niece is 8-will be 9 for the wedding...she is very tall and she thinks she would look silly as a flower girl so she will be a jr bm

it depends on the girl. My brother got married when I was 15, but I looked like an adult! My niece will be 14 when I get married, but she still looks like a little girl.

Re: Jr. Bridesmaid
It's hard to say b/c arent flower girls supposed to be younget than 8? Then would a JBM be 9 - 16 or 18. I think it depends on how old she looks and all. Will you have he escorted by the GM?
My brother will be almost 14 at our wedding and he is a full fledged groomsman. He is as tall as me now so i figure he will look older then.
Over all- I don't think there are any rules and if their are - YOU are allowed to break them!

My jr bridesmaids will be 10.
I would say up to 13. It also depends on the girl. Some 12 yr old look like they are 18!!
