Re: jt brides hotel block
I booked at LaQuinta... I DO NOT! Suggest you block rooms there. When I blocked them a woman made all these promises to me and then she left I had to FIGHT to get them to honor them.
Then I learned on the NIGHT of my wedding that they have a contract with many airlines and should flights come in and their staff needs a place to stay they have first dibs! They WILL AND DO over books and your guests will get the boot!
There were 3 other weddings blocked there the night of my wedding and it was pure chaos! They had to shuttle people to the hyatt, one bride's honeymoon suite was given away. The only way mine was still available was I had a friend check me in earlier so I didn't have to worry about my bags at the end of the night at JT. THANK GOD for that!
Oh yea and when the shuttle came to JT. They left ME and a number of my guests outside on the street saying that that shuttle wasn't for us. It was... It was a very sad ending to a PERFECT day... steer clear they are terrible there!

WOW!!! That is horrible, I am so happy I didn't go with them. JT reccomended them!!! They should really reconsider suggesting them if this is how they do business! Sorry you had to deal with all that!

I agree. I would not book there. I had some of the same problems. They left some of my guests, my parents, and myself at JT. I ended up getting a ride with DH to the hotel because we just couldn't wait for the shuttle to come back again. I ALSO had a girl make promises and then leave, then I dealt with another girl and 2 weeks before my wedding I found out she got promoted and was training someone else. I had to go through the process 3 times and had a lot of fighting and freak outs. The manager even hung up on me at one point.
I will say though, I wrote a letter complaining about the service and stress this hotel put me through and they got back to me. I got a letter from the manager, he made a lot of excuses that still made me mad BUT gave us vouchers to use at any La Quinta's around the country. We used ones in Florida and we're thinking about using another one for my birthday.
If the Hyatt gives a free shuttle, I would go there. HELL I would go anywhere except La Quinta!

WOW.. I really hope people have told all this to JT... they need to stop suggesting this place to brides and grooms!!! I am soooo happy I didn't book there.. but I would think JT would have known better if this is a common issue!!!!

We are going to check out the Huntington Hilton and its about $475 for the 11 passenger shuttle which makes trips all night as needed.

I'm at Crest Hollow, but we booked at the Hampton Inn Jericho-Westbury. Only about a year old, nice rooms, $139 per night because you can pass the costof the shuttle on to your geusts if you want (which is what we did).
Samantha George is the contact there.
good luck!

The Hampton Inn in Garden City on East Gate Blvd is great! Clean, Flat screen tv's, free yummy breakfast! We use them for work and everybody likes it there. Debra Russo can help you get a great rate. She is a doll to work with!

Re: jt brides hotel block
we are using the hilton garden inn...the only problem is that they only guarantee the shuttle for people who book 2 guests in each room. I keep having to remind everyone that they have to check two people when they book their room online or they will not be counted in the total amount of people going in the shuttle.

I agree with the above posters...DO NOT BOOK LQ! I had a room block there and it was a total nightmare. I cant even get into it right now...but please dont book there, they're horrible!
