JT brides question....

JT brides question....

If you had the lounge (wine and cheese room) for early arriver's how did you put that on your reception card?

For instance, my Ch starts at 8:30 but we can have the wine and cheese room at 7:30. Did you put it on there? Did you just say 7:30 was CH start time?

I have a lot of OOT guest's and want them to take advantage of having the lounge to go to in between the church and the RH....

TIA!!!

Re: JT brides question....

I have been playing around with ways to word it

I was just going to say at first 'Immediately following the ceremony, Wine and Cheese lounge will be open at The Jericho Terrace'

but then i thought, maybe they wont know thats its complimentary so I was thinking of adding something like, 'Compliments of the Bride and Groom, Wine and Cheese lounge will be open immediately following ceremony at Jericho Terrace'

Id also be interested in what past brides did.

Good question!

I like how the second one is worded, although I don't think it would be compliments of me and my FH since my parents are paying, so that would be wrong.... ughhh I am waiting on the proof for invites so have to figure this out!

Also my ceremony ends at 6-6:30 then the lounge is open at 7:30 so they still have to kill sometime... really what is 1 hour though I don't care about that.....

Maybe.... 'Beginning at 7:30 guest's can enjoy complimentary wine and cheese in the guest's lounge at JT, with a full cocktail hour beginning at 8:30'... does that sounds funny???

No, I love how that sounds!!! I might steel it from you! Btw- who told you that it only opens an hour before CH, they told me I could have it all day...his words were 'your guests could come and start drinking before the ceremony, lol'

I did and she said to put 7:30 as the start time... I don't want guest's to think the wine and cheese room is it!!

Yeah, I wouldnt do that, if I went to a wedding and they just had that to begin, I would think thats it and be annoyed for the first hour, lol. No, im not having my ceremony there but yeah maybe like you said because theres another wedding before yours.

Hm true I wouldn't do that. I like your suggestion above. I wonder what past brides did though and if we have it earlier than an hour. I thinkkk so far I'm the only wedding my night but there's still plenty of time for someone else to book and I'm sure they will.

But as long as your booked as the first wedding and I think you are 7pm CH right? Then you can probably still have it the whole day.... I have to follow other people
